Hey I made a Breakroom for the Fall 2024 Cohort to join. We can gather a group and keep in touch during the orientation process to help one another. The breakroom club is called "LAPC Fall 2024 Cohort" and I can also invite anyone who wants to join.

Hi guys, to be a part of the nurse corps what is the requirement? Can a CNA and nursing student do this or do you have to be an LVN?

What is the best way to go about shyness? My clinical instructor says I am too soft spoken and that I wouldnt make a good nurse if I am not more confident. What are some tips? What do you mean by a peripheral brain? Is it another way to describe critical thinking?

That is an excelent point. Having a beard can ruin the seal for an N95 mask. No one wants to risk exposure to dangerous airborne diseases. I will remember this when shaving LOL.

I was a Med-Tech for one year in a memory care residence and I emailed the LVN board regarding this work experience and unfortunately they said it doesn't count towards method 3 licensure. Im really not sure what exactly does. They arent clear on that. I am sorry to hear. I hope you are doing well.

As a CNA wanting to challenge the LVN board via method 3, what type of experience are they requiring? The government website is super vague and they state "in-patient bedside nursing experience" but I have no idea if that includes Skilled Nursing Facilities or Rehab/detox facilities. Is it only hospitals on the Med/surg floor?

I've seen it work for some people. It's not easy but it is an option.

California apparently allows students with CNA work experience and/or nursing school credits to challenge the LVN boards without ever going to an LVN program. I was wondering how they are able to do this. What are their requirements for work experience? Would CNA work experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility be accepted? Or it has to be a hospital?

I love films that take place in the American west during the 1800s. There are a lot of good western movies like Silverado or Seraphim Falls.

Sometimes I like to wear short stubble because it makes me look more assertive. I have a somewhat smaller frame and I know if I have a clean shaven baby face I may look too young to know what Im doing, hehe
