  1. I passed!! ❤️❤️
  2. Hey everyone... I took my NCLEX yesterday at 8 am. I felt good on majority of the questions BUT the answer choices were very iffy... it felt like a fever dream... the last question I definitely knew and that's when it shut off after I answered. I'm very worried and I'll find out tomorrow if I passed...I've always very well during school. ATI told me I had a 96 to 97% chance of passing NCLEX and I've never had to repeat an ATI test. it was just very different from how our tests were, which is expected because it's the NCLEX... it was so scary Can I have some words of encouragement?
  3. hey so, I graduate in a couple weeks. For pinning no tickets are required and we can invite how many people we want. Would it be weird to invite coworkers/manager? thanks

  5. Update: I've been offered a position and accepted it :))
  6. To give you a little background of me, I am in my last semester of nursing school and graduate in early May ? I'm really excited! I am currently an intern on a medical-surgical unit. Back in December, I applied for a position and spoke to my manager about it. I was told they wanted me to stay and I told them I wanted to. It makes me really happy! I didn't have to interview for this position since it's on the same unit I work. However, I haven't received anything official yet or in writing such as the offer itself, pay, and start date/how orientation works. We only discussed this in person. Is this bad? Or is it just too early? It is only March after all.
  7. I currently work on a medical surgical unit and am very happy. I was told that instead of interviewing, I would just go into the position as an RN. I graduate in May and I'm curious if I'll need to sign a contract? When do they usually do this? I'm curious when I'll get an official offer, and not just verbally. They all seem really excited about me also, if anyone here has done the HCA StaRN program. Can you tell me your experience? I'll admit, I haven't heard great things... but tell me your experiences
  8. Hey y'all. Just a bit of information for context... I'm in my very last semester of nursing school. I am currently a CNA on a med surg floor. I've been told I would transition into the RN position. I've been told good things and it seems promising. However, is this just a verbal offer or will I receive a written offer? I know it's a few months until May, but I'm anxious because it's really important to me. I've been told details about what happens after you graduate edit: and my manager was glad about my interest
  9. I just worry that this would damage my reputation. I just don't want them to think I'm unreliable
  10. Hey y'all... I work PRN and pick up extra since I'm on break. (Because I care.) I travel about 50 minutes to get to my workplace. I don't mind this drive at all! In fact, I love it. But I've been getting these advisories saying they're getting lots of snow and high wind gusts and to be careful with your commute. I had decided to work 2x this week but I messaged my supervisor and asked if I could change the day to a different day (12 hours). I was told yes, and that it will be changed. Then I was told it's not an issue. I just worry.. am I gonna be in trouble for this? I've never called out or canceled my shifts ever prior to this... what's your thoughts? EDIT: also I'm not even a nurse yet.
  11. I have been working on the med surg unit as an intern at my local hospital. I graduate in May and I am very excited. I was told that now is the time to be applying for positions. I would like to start on my current unit, because I have a lot of great connections and support from others. I am planning to talk to my manager about this, but how should I approach this? I am already updating my resume and my manager has already voiced hopes that I will stay (good sign.) I'm just a bit nervous about talking with my manager about this.. I need all the advice I can get.
