  1. I get the not wanting to burn bridges. If your hospital has a good new grad program and you really want to do ED then do it! I work at a level one hospital that hires plenty of new grads into the ED and most excel. Good luck!
  2. Yes, 100% your charge RN is “someone who knows you in a supervisory capacity.”
  3. Hi! Congrats on making it this far! Try to relax and remember the basics. You are a new grad and they know you're not going to be perfect. Obviously, they are looking for critical thinkers who can solve problems and reason why/what is going on with their patients. However, one of the biggest things we looked for in new grads is the ability to know when to ask for help from a charge RN or a more experienced RN. Good luck!
  4. Hi! Congrats on making it this far! Certs before applying are never a bad idea. I would not consider it "trying too hard" and it could be a topic (in addition to others) that you can bring up in an interview response to "what have you done to prepare yourself... or why should be hire you?". Good luck!
  5. That's a quick turn around by Halloween. I'm taking my test today.
  6. Congrats! Unfortunately I didn't get in, I'll definitely be applying next year. Good luck in the program!
  7. Did anyone ask how many interviewed and for how many spots? I forgot to ask.
