  1. You have an attorney and you are doing all the right things so hopefully all goes well. I diverted from a federal facility, was convicted of a felony, went to prison, ended up in the oig exclusion list and Medicaid sanctioned provider list, licensure loss. It was rough for a while but after I was able to return to the profession after a few years, now my felony is expunged, all my prescriptive authority has been reinstated, removed from all sanction lists, dea license reinstated and I know work as a addiction medicine NP, dual certified in family and psych. Life has a funny way of working things out if you continue to do the right thing. Good luck, you will be fine.
  2. I diverted, charged with felony, offered no plea agreement, convicted for felony larceny in a building. Got sober, peer support program, privileges reinstated. Life finds a way if you do the right thing.
  3. You will be fine, just do the next right thing. Follow your lawyers advice. Enroll in state monitoring program, go to meetings everyday and get signatures. Not to play devils advocate but if you get criminal convictions you will get probation. You will work again as a nurse it will just take a little time to sort things out. I had 1 felony, eventually expunged. I'm Working as a duel certified nurse practitioner. These things you are going through are not the end of you.
  4. I self reported myself first to hprp to get ahead of the ball. Unfortunately my charges from the hospital came about 6 months later.
  5. NP here. Got felony conviction of larceny from a building for diversion of narcotics. My advice, hire the best attorney you can find. It will cost you a lot less than what you will have to go through to get your license back after a criminal conviction.
  6. Hello sir. Sorry to hear about your troubles. As far as the drug test go, you and the two other folks followed the proper chain of command correct? Did they give you a copy of the paperwork? If everything was document correctly, you should not be on the hook for this and certainly should fight it.
  7. That's bizarre, if you have an attorney representing you he should be the one trying to contact the board to get the consent and stipulation signed. The board can be notoriously slow but that seems extreme. Have you tried emailing them? Also you can go back to school while on probation. I've done it.
  8. Did you sign the consent and stipulation the board gave you as apart of your agreement? If you nursing license is still active you can still work. Big institutions might not want to hire you with an open complaint, but certainly you can find work in the private sector or home health care . If you have any questions let me know. I've been through that process, it will get better. Good luck. Navigating MI BON/ haven't heard from them in 6 months
  9. If you were not convicted you won't lose your license. You might get a referral to hprp and go on contract. Do what they say and you will be fine
  10. Had a state felony larceny for drug diversion is 2017. I have never been placed in the oig exclusion list. Been able to work since getting my license reinstated in 2019. Hospitals clinics you name it. Just gotta be up front. If you have any questions let me know.
  11. It will show up any where you apply to. Be honest with your potential employers. Tell them how far you have come from that time, many places are forgiving. As far as the Medicare/Medicaid issues you might want to get that cleared up. More than likely it was due to your license being suspended. Should be able to appeal that and get removed from that list. If you have any questions let me know.
  12. Sure that's fine. Send me a message
  13. If you are in the ramp program and no charges have been brought against you, you will not get marks on your license. If you leave ramp and pursue social work you will have to do ramp anyway due to the diversion. I stole drugs and was prosecuted to the fullest extent. License suspended, felony background. I practice in my full capacity as a nurse practitioner. You stay the course and you will be fine. Cheers.
  14. I was caught diverting narcotics from a federal facility. Was prosecuted to the fullest extent and caught a felony for larceny in a building. Nursing and APRN license suspended. Went through Michigan's HPRP program. got my license back and now practicing in my full prescriptive authority for one of the larger national health care systems. There might be some red tape you have to go through, but you will be fine. Just do what they tell you to do. cheers.
