So during the background investigation, I totally forgot about two employers who I worked for, maybe did 5 or 6 shifts max with them then quit. Do you think this will affect my background check? The job is for the city at jail.

Hello I just got hired as a corrections and nurse, and I've heard from so many other nurses that my license was in jeopardy working there. Can anyone here tell me if this is true or not? Why would my license be more at risk working inside of a prison than a regular hospital?

Motrin drops are available in a concentration of 100mg/2ml. The physician ordered Motrin ½ teaspoon for a temperature >101. The dosage is safe. How many ml should the nurse administer? How many mg of Motrin in this amount? Please help I can not figure this out to save my life. Thank you.

I agree, its sad but the amount of times I have been sexually assaulted at work (grabbed, touched, and abused by patients) is disgusting and sickening. Management does nothing to them, police don't do anything either because they are " mentally unfit". Yet when they see the police they automatically stop. You could always transfer to a NICU or Post partum, it's unlikely you'll be assaulted there, but I have been assaulted in postpartum once.

Yes good shoes are important! may I recommend one? I swear by these, Nike Air Force 1's, my feet NEVER hurt after a 12 1/2 hour shift ever since I started wearing these. All the girls with the clogs complain of pain.

I made a mistake. One night I went to the E.R for abdominal pain and shortness of breath, I walked out against the Drs advice ( to be admitted) with a diagnosis of an enlarged appendix. The Dr did give me a note taking me off work for a week, while the medical team and I would talk about surgery or not. The next day I went to a mandatory work class, completely forgetting about being on "medical leave" am I fired? Your opinions are appreciated.
