Hi. I am trying to get my CA endorsement for my FL license. I was told that I could not get a temporary license since I was not educated in CA. Can you tell me what you did to get your temporary CA license?

Exactly? We had a total of 5 terms. After successful completion of the 4th term, we were offered the opportunity to challenge the LPN boards for those that wanted to start working right away (non-traditional students with families to feed). In term 5 we had medsurg 3 and transition/capstone. Actually my wife asked me to do this during our term break, but I refused. However, I ended up doing it in the end anyways? I am greatful this was an option for me. Now while I prepare to retake the NCLEX-RN, I can provide for my family at the same time.

Concorde Career Colleges allow RN students that have completed medsurg 1&2, maternity, peds, and psyc to challenge the LPN board in FL. The FL BON allows it also. The process took 4 business days. I know first hand because I failed the NCLEX RN earlier this month and challenged the board to take the NCLEX PN. I passed on the 18th of this month and was able to accept a job in corrections. My manager knows I retest for NCLEX RN next month. I'm just happy to be a nurse and be working. The process took 4 business days. I hope this helps ?

Im aware this post is pretty old but I wanted to address it. Nurse Achieve CAT exams were pretty comparable to NCLEX In my opinion and accurate. I consistently got "pass-pass" and passed the NCLEX-PN with 74 questions.

You hot this. You finished nursing school so that was the hardest part. You will conquer the NCLEX too. I failed the first attempt also and used Nurse Achieve CAT and did not retake the NCLEX until I consistently scored "pass-pass". Good luck ? You can do it ?

I failed my first attempt also. I used Nurse Achieve CAT exams and Kaplan. I used Nurse Achieve to brush up on my content and practicing with the CAT exams. I used Kaplan to be exposed to difficult higher level questions. I did not retake the exam until I was consistently scoring "pass-pass" on the Nurse Achieve CAT exams. I passed NCLEX the second time in 74 questions. You got this. Good luck?

Sonida, it sounds like you are on the right track. To me the questions were somewhat vague but you will definitely be able to figure out what the questions are asking. You got this. Good luck on your exam?

I passed the NCLEX-PN yesterday with 74 questions. I never got over a "pass-pass" on Nurse Achieve LPN CAT exams, & it was accurate. Now I can get a job and help support my family after almost 3yrs? I have resumed my studies for the NCLEX-RN next month. I'm back, baby. YEAH!

It's official??? I passed and I'm a LPN?? Next up....RN Now I can get a job finally after almost 3yrs and financially help my wife? Thank God??
