Hi! I will be graduated in next week, and am seeking a job. I want to be an ICU nurse but couldn't get offers so far. Now I am waiting for the results from PCU, and got an offer from a med-surg unit--I need to reply back for my acceptance/decline offer for the med-surg by tomorrow, but didn't decide yet.. I read someone said, to be an ICU nurse, becoming a PCU nurse could be really a great pathway. Then becoming a med-surg nurse will be harder to become an ICU nurse? Also, personally, I don't like to work in the med-surg, but the hospital is good..so I am debating if I just get in my step first and then change the specialty would be better OR waiting for the specialty I want would be better.. Would you please give me some advice? I really don't know what to do.. Thank you!

Thanks! I got an offer too and was about to email HR. I'm not sure if this one is official or not either... does it mean we can accept the offer then can change later? I don't want to be rude, but I didn't get the result from other hospitals yet..

Hi! May I ask how long it would take for getting a job offer after the interview? And how long do I have to make a decision to accept an offer?

I heard you need to pay back if you quit if you are in the residency program. Maybe you could ask the manager if there are other options? or can they move you to other unit?

Hi, I want to make sure the Castle Branch thing.. I asked my adviser about the due date and she said, "CastleBranch is not due until you are admitted to the BSN program. You will receive your decision letter in mid-October, so anything done before then is well before it is due." Does it mean should I start the process now? But I read a post that says it's due before the semester starts? I want to wait until I get to know if I'm in or not.. Is this possible? How long does the process take? I have Hep B titer, so other shots (not sure what are the immunization list though) would be ready quickly once the admission result comes, I guess... Is there any advice for me? Thank you.
