Herzing PMHNP
That sounds about right. They are not bad at all. Just 250-300 words for most. Each class has 2 a week and then 4 responses needed total. So 4 and 8. I work 3 12s a week and work on it on all my off days, but I have been enjoying it. The classes you are taking will probably be a bit more intense though.

Herzing PMHNP
That is awesome! So Happy for you! I am very impressed with my progress with Herzing thus far. I start on November 2nd, but everything until now has been great! I even got a 10% tuition discount for being a veteran. Very affordable program compared to others. I had signed up for 2 different schools and backed out at the last minute because it just did not feel right. I am ready this time and Herzing is definately my school of choice! Can't wait to get started and meet all of you!

Herzing PMHNP
Hi Everyone! I finally found the school I really want to go to! I have applied to 3 other schools and backed out for this or that reason. There was just a bad feeling. This program has made me feel super comfortable from the beginning and they seem to be so organized which makes my nerves much more calm. I am super excited to start in November in the PMHNP program. Would LOVE to connect with other students in the same situation. Online classes are awesome, but would really like to connect with other students. in the same situation. I currently work inpatient psych 12 hr shifts and starting to network for preceptors now. I hear we start semester 3 with clinical so trying to stay on top of my game. Can't wait to hear from you all! I live in st Louis, MO btw. Where are you all?

VA HPSP 2020 - Scholarship Award Updates?
I start my program in August. It's 3yrs if done FT and 4yrs if done PT. It's a DNP program. He said I could submit another academic verification form and plan of study showing FT. I just hope my advisor can get it done in time. She had issues filling it out prior to this and I feel horrible having to ask her to redo it. Ugh, Fingers crossed it works out.

UMSL DNP
OH Awesome! I was in the AF too. Your program sounds great, I wish mine was hybrid, I do enjoy some class time with lectures and personal interaction with other students. I start in the fall, so I still have a lot to learn as far as what I am getting myself into, ha!. But pretty similar to yours in that the first year is mainly theory, policy, statistics, research classes. Then builds from there. I am planning on going part-time so with take me 4 years to complete the DNP. I applied to the VA HPSP Scholarship though, so if I get that, I may change to FT, since it comes with a stipend to help with bills. Makes total sense to stay away from big govt orgs, good pointer there for sure. They take for ever to get anything done or approved.

VA HPSP 2020 - Scholarship Award Updates?
Yes, I got an email then. I turned my application in 2 days before the closing date, so I had been in contact with him through that week. I am part-time too and DNP. He said they would make an exception for the DNP as well. I did not know you were supposed to be FT though? I didn't see that in the requirements? 2011MSN- do you have any idea the selection rate for this Scholarship? How long is your program, and are you going FT? Thanks for the info!!

UMSL DNP
? I got my BSN there too, through the accelerated program, and OMG YES the scare tactics were on point. haha I can hardly find any forums or anything that have info on their DNP program though. I am confident it is a good program, just wanted some inside info for pointers. What school are you going to for your DNP? How is that going?

VA HPSP 2020 - Scholarship Award Updates?
Me TOO! I have had such a hard time finding forums or anything talking about this scholarship for NPs. I keep trying to find the percentage of acceptance, but nothing... I applied for a DNP program, which they say they will consider this too. I am not sure if my chances decrease because of that or not. I spoke to --------------------, the guy that forwards our completed applications to the board, and he said it takes 30-60 days from the date of receipt to find out if we got it or not. If you guys hear anything fill me in! I hope the acceptance rate is in our favor. ?
