  1. Hi all, How do I get hired back into a hospital after being away for 6 years? Currently work in an assisted living facility for the last 4 years and had to take some time off to care for elderly parents. Should I do a refresher? My resume and applications to hospitals are not getting any attention. Thanks
  2. Hi everyone, I have been out of the hospital setting for 5 years and jumped at the chance to work on a Covid unit. I am afraid of course but know I am going to be helping with this pandemic. I hope to not be infected but there is a chance working with this population on a Tele/ortho unit changed to a Covid unit. My question is this: As nurses who work on Covid units do you self isolate for fear of being an asymptomatic carrier? Or do you go about your life with the recommended precautions of 6 foot distancing and masks?
  3. I was caring for elderly parents who have both since passed away so took a less acute job in an assisted living. Needed less stress on the job to be able to cope with the stress of caring for sick and elderly parents. I would love to volunteer but am single so must have an income. I have licenses in N.H. and Massachusetts. thanks for responding
  4. I last worked in a hospital 5 years ago. I know how to assess patients, etc. I would need a refresher on the pumps and the computer. One would think in a time like this they could use a willing nurse. I would love to volunteer with Covid patients but would not be able to work at my paying job because of working with infected patients. I am on my own so can not afford to be out of a paycheck.
