Hi! I am a current student at UMD. Just wanted to drop some info about the process. Interviews (for my class at least) were held via WebEx due to Covid. Interviews were short 10-15 mins. (Mine was more like 6 mins) typically class size is around 30. Also yes there are information sessions you can attend, I also believe that you can attend online. Just go to their webpage as details are there. One coming up this month I believe. Good Luck.

When I was called, they said that further instructions would be coming. I’m sure within the next week we should hear something. Does anyone know if there has been a FB page created for our class?

Mine came up as 410 area code which is Baltimore. I missed the call and was just left a message to call back. They probably still have calls to make tomorrow as well.

Just got the call! I’m elated and petrified all at the same time! I really felt like there was no way after my interview. So everyone second guessing themselves, Don’t!

The orientation is pretty much the information presented in the webinars that were held. I thought the students were helpful in answering questions and giving us an idea of what to expect.

@RN12014 this is my first time applying. Applied to one other school and didn’t get in. So we shall see. It’s amazing how stressful this process is...LOL...and we haven’t even got in yet! Good luck! Hopefully we all hear back by Friday!

Is this your first time applying at UMD. Did you apply other places or interview anywhere else. Mine was about that long as well.

How is everyone feeling about interviews?

I got an email for the orientation as well, 10-12 on November 9. The other email was on the day of my interview for the whole day so I am assuming we just log in at our designated interview time. What happens when one persons interview runs over the allotted 15 minutes...LOL?

I would freak out just yet. Some people will decline to interview because of acceptance at other schools. So as more spots open they will send out more interview offers. Yes! It is a lot of interview spots, like 120 or something...for 30 or so spots?? Good luck everyone!

I just submitted my application for the 2021 Summer cohort last week. Now the wait begins...LOL. Any insight to the interview process? I have heard mixed info of course.

OMGEEEEE! I have to work tomorrow night and I am not going to be able to sleep tomorrow during the day!!

I am thankful the interview is done as well. Although I am anxious to find out the decisions it does make waiting somewhat tolerable considering we have a date when everyone is supposed to find out. I interviewed before with VCU although was not accepted. My GRE score wasn’t the best so I’m praying for the best this time around. Definitely been getting yard work and Spring cleaning done during quarantine time...LOL. Good luck to everyone and hopefully we will all meet in January!
