  1. Initially I was assisting families for one night that were up for 2 days or more managing symptoms. I would write out a plan of meds to give and teach how to care for pt. But now, its 911 calls per family request when I get there to do continuous care for a patient that is not a DNR.
  2. klone RN MSN. Was just making a statement about a situation that happened to me.
  3. Per diem long term care job with no training. Given report, some keys and day shift out the door. Never again. 12 hour shift only gave meds and cluesless for anything else. Nice paycheck not worth losing my licensce.
  4. Sorry you feel that way.
  5. I am a symptom management LPN for home hospice. Are any other nurses doing this kind of work?
  6. Go into nursing with your guard up. Young nurses are eaten by fellow nurses. Nurses do hate nursing for real
  7. Leave quickly now or the LPN manager leaves then you stay.
  8. Move to the bigger city and date around. Let them know you not interested in long term or family start up at the 1st date.
  9. I would leave the building with the doctor because if something happens while the doctor is out, the doctor will throw you under the bus.
  10. Keep on going. Life is too short
