  1. Not to mention Owen Wilson, that is my other husband. My real husband Totally understands...lol
  2. OMG Miranda, I TOTALLY agree. Hugh Laurie is TOTALLY HOTT!!!!!! ohhhh...God pleaz help me!!!!!
  3. We are DEFINITELY not pathetic, but I SO understand what your point is, and agree.
  4. Doesn't matter how many opportunities there are, nursing is a profession that I would NEVER recommend to my daughters. It's something that very few have the personality for, and the energy for... that being said, I respect my profession immensely, and think there is no profession out there that should be respected more.
  5. wow...I have never seen this type of JP drain.
  6. I suppose they could, but it is not the nurse's responsibility to write an incident report that the MD wants written. You are to write an incident report for something you witness only, and feel is a reportable incident. It is the MD's responsibility to write his own incident report if he feels it is necessary. And yes, it could be subpeonaed sp? , which is why they are TAUGHT just as nurses are TAUGHT to not write that in the chart, and to NEVER include a copy of an incident report in the chart.
  7. Wow CNA's passing meds...you are kidding, right? I don't remember reading that I could delegate that, while reading my state board papers...wow Maybe Lousiana is more picky than the rest of country... NOT. NO, I would NEVER let ANYONE pass meds for me that my name is signed off on...let alone someone who is not licensed to do so. I worked TOO HARD for my license, and that is jeopardizing the patient's safety, and also taking advantage of the CNA.
  8. Docs in my facility think they are God, and write orders to "write an incident report cuz of such and such..." all the time. The administration of the hospital I work at are really a joke, and bow down to the MDs out of fear. Fear? I do NOT write an incident report in response to them telling me to, and if my manager feels the need to come behind me and do so, then so be it. And as far as docs knowing better than to write it as an order, I thought they knew better too, until I started working at this facility.
  9. This is all well and good. But I think things like this are being said AFTER trying the above route. I've been there.
  10. I have just joined this site. I have been a nurse for almost three years. I go back to work tomorrow. Will let yall know how it goes.
  11. Ok, you guys. Here is Louisiana at the hospital I work at we range from 5-8 patients per nurse. I am getting burnt out quickly and looking for a career change within nursing. I go home so stressed out and tired...
