Do you have trust in your doctors?

Lol you haven’t seen this? Many CNAs have a “I don’t give a X attitude imma tell you how it is” I love it.

    Can’t a nurse be fired?

I’m surprised this is an issue. How difficult would it be for the facility to pull up the camera on that patient and see who the negligent staff is that hasn’t been turning them?

Do you have trust in your doctors?

Usually the inappropriate conversations I hear are from CNAs and LPNs but I’m entertained every single time.

Do you have trust in your doctors?

I mean I’ve seen idiots in every field and stellar people in every field.

Do you have trust in your doctors?

Yep. I love the doctors I work with. Personal friends with several.

    Can’t a nurse be fired?

Not based on what I’ve seen coming back from nursing homes. Some are definitely better, but some are disgusting. We looked around a good while before we put my grandma in one.

Anyone Ever Actually Used Their Malpractice Insurance?

Man unions sound expensive. Are even PRN nurses there required to take part?

    Can’t a nurse be fired?

Not the experience I had. I gave up on using the VA. It sounds pretty hit or miss.

    Can’t a nurse be fired?

Sounds like. That’s one of my few veterans benefits I do NOT use. The care those veterans get is shameful.

    Anti-Vaxxers Shut Down Immunization Events

If it’s a state law I have no issue. A federal law would be overstepping.
  11. It’s just sickening that people think threatening to put kids into foster care is an appropriate response to parents repeatedly smoking around kids. If the nanny state keeps this up, (they’re also questioning kids about whether their parents have guns etc), things are going to turn out badly. Start taking kids because of second hand smoke and I guarantee you lives are going to be lost. I don’t know where you live, but where I live if you try to take someone’s kid because they smoke, not only with the people coming to get the kid get shot, but the neighborhood will say “they had it coming”.

Why do RNs choose to work in nursing homes?

I have a passion for gerontological nursing, but I’ll do it on a step down
  13. Some of you guys are scary in a big brother kind of way. Smoking is damned stupid, but yeah... take kids into foster care because their parents smoke? You’re insane. -Allergic to smoke and had two parents who smoked

Anyone Ever Actually Used Their Malpractice Insurance?

I don’t have it and I don’t know anyone with it. Usually they’re going after the people with the money. Namely the hospital itself.

    Anti-Vaxxers Shut Down Immunization Events

Eh I’m for personal choice. Convince people to get vaccines and more transparency will help. The big problem is people don’t trust the corporations that create the vaccines, and I honestly don’t blame them. It is proven fact that American citizens have been tested on. If people truly believe it is what’s best, they will line up to get vaccines. The more you force them, the more you’ll fuel their paranoia.

    Can’t a nurse be fired?

2 hours is a stretch? We do hourly rounding at my hospital. And the chances that they died immediately after your last rounding and you didn’t notice anything off is slim. Between nurses and ancillaries I don’t see why it needs to be that long between rounding checks. I personally try to check in on my patients every hour, but if I’m unable, I know they’re still getting seen about that often.
