  1. I'm not sure about "priority" but I definitely think that the school sees their persistence and maybe compares the first and second apps to see how much they want it? obviously just speculating but who knows.
  2. I know someone that got off the waitlist last year. It was her second time applying.
  3. Hopefully we get in and hope to see you in nursing school soon!
  4. Waitlisted for me ? another few months of agony
  5. It wasn't its own section but in the instructions they sent us, they told us to put the NursingCAS ID in the URL box of the very last section or something like that.
  6. My last name is in the middle and mine says it was completed 12/7 so, quite possibly. I don't think it would hurt to just ask. We put a lot of work into it and money into it so getting comfort in knowing that there's no issues shouldn't be a problem.
  7. Oh, I don't have any issues with mine. I was responding to Te751's question about if my transcripts got transferred over.
  8. Yeah, mine is all transferred over. But I submitted my app over a week before it was due. Maybe they're still working on it? The note did say it could take up to 4 weeks.
  9. Hm, I'm not sure what the NursingCas Academic Update is.
  10. I got that email too but I remembered in the instruction page they sent us, they told us to ignore any emails that ask us to submit any LOR and transcripts. Today, I got another email: "It's official - you've completed your application for admission to the Nursing (Master's Entry Program in Nursing) program at UC Davis! Your application and materials have now been sent to the admission committee for review. Please note that the Nursing (Master's Entry Program in Nursing) program may request further information about components of your application. Remember to review all program requirements and deadlines to ensure all program-specific materials have been submitted. Please email (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), I logged into to check and it looks like they had transferred my NursingCAS stuff over to my application. 1. I'm sure you're fine if you got invited to the second round of apps. 2. You can ignore this if you're not an intl student, I left everything on this page blank when I did my apps. Just be on the lookout for the confirmation email soon?
  11. I submitted my application on 11/23 but didn't get a confirmation email until like the next day for the grad application.
  12. Yeah, I took my original essay and split it into two and elaborated more on it. I'm just trying to take a step away from it and come back maybe this weekend to see if I can get fresh eyes before I submit. Agreed on the 12/1 deadline too. It's such a short turn around for the references. Hopefully we'll both get into UCD and meet there! ?
  13. Same ? will you be reapplying in Dec? I think I'm gonna wait until the next round of apps because I made it past the first round for UCD and I wanna see how that goes before I take the HESI/TEAS and go through more apps.
  14. OMG! I don't check for a few days and so much has happened! @Tenzin Dasael congrats! I checked mine and still nothing, I'm thinking they'll send out rejections later ?
  15. Are you waiting for 5/1 at San Mateo campus? I was under the impression that the 5/1 and 7/1 applications at San Mateo campus got merged.
  16. I'm using my nursingCAS statement. I got mine down to 4,000 characters but my next step is to tailor it to add in the faculty part. Hopefully a sentence or two will suffice but then I'll have to take out more stuff to make it fit again.
  17. It's crazy cause I believe that 2 years MSN USF is ~90K, 2 years ELMSN at SMU is ~120K and 3 years MEPN+NP at UCSF is 120K. So Davis seems to be waay more expensive considering it's an 18 month program.
  18. Whoa, that's a huge difference from what I saw! I see $112K? https://budget.ucdavis.edu/student-resources/tuition-fees/professional/MSN Hey dc_rene! Are you planning to reach out to the faculty or just look them up online and go based on that?
  19. Hey Calista! I was in the same boat with chem but I actually opted to retake it over the Summer and actually got an A in it. It was not as dreadful as I remembered it 10 years ago.. maybe you'll find it to be the same. I have an MBA so this is definitely a career change for me!
  20. hi @livewellmm and @Charlotteee Are you guys currently enrolled in this program? I was wondering if I could talk to you guys to get more insights and see how you like the program. I'm asking because it seems like UCD is fairly new but the price tag for tuition is comparable to private schools. I have friends that were in SMU, USF and UCSF's program but I don't know anyone who has finished UCD's.
  21. Yeah when I went to their virtual Spring preview, they were saying sometime October but for sure will not be Oct 1. I'm thinking it will take longer since they have more applicants but I'm hoping sometime this week. Did anyone see in the previous cohorts they had a trick to find out if they were in or not? Did anyone try that?
  22. Hey guys! Congrats and good luck to everyone who received a secondary application invite! In the instructions for the prompts, it says that we should list a faculty we'd like to work with. Anyone doing this part or know how we should do this? Also, did anyone else notice that UCD's tuition is extremely expensive compared to other public schools? It's basically on par with private schools like USF's 2 year or SMU's ELMSN 2 year program or UCSF's 3 year program.
  23. Me too :( are you going to remove yourself from the waitlist and apply for Summer ? Is anyone going to use different people for their letter of recs? If not, how do you go about asking the same person to write you another letter?
  24. Hello fellow Californians! I was looking to apply to JHU so I decided to pop in and see what the stats were and what not. I saw a lot of you are worried about housing/areas to live in. I just visited my friends who are nurses at Johns Hopkins and they live in Fells Point and that area was fairly safe and nice to walk around. Her neighbors were telling me they lived closer to campus and got robbed so they moved to Fells. My suggestion would be to go scope out the area that you plan to live in before signing any leases!
  25. hi everyone! I'm new here and I wish I found this waaay sooner! I got waitlisted for the SF! did anyone hear back on their waitlist status? Congrats to everyone that go into the OC campus! I want to apply there next time around but I will be uprooting my life in the Bay to move to OC (which I'm okay with), any of you do the same? I have so many questions for you!
