My notification email was a few weeks prior to the interview.

My application still says further review. They also informed me that they will be doing interviews all next week as well. So they aren’t done!

I just wanted to say that we both have the same name!(and spelling) Also, we both are trying to pursue an OR career! I heard it is difficult once you get on the floor to transfer, which is why I’m trying for a new graduate program in the operating room.

Hi! I stumbled on your article while searching for more information about RNFA. I have just completed my nursing program this month and am in love with the operating room. During my preceptorship in the OR, I have mentioned to many nurses and techs about my passion to become a RNFA in the future. I have had more negative responses than positive ones. I wanted to let you know that you are definitely an inspiration to me! I’m glad to know that there are RNFAs practicing and that we don’t have to go the PA route to get into the sterile field! love nursing and I love surgery and I want to be able to have both coexist in my career. So thank you again for sharing!

Hi everyone! The UCD website posted a separate job posting for the operating room residency that goes alongside the new graduate residency program. For those who are interested, like I am, should apply to that one as well. Not sure if other specialties will have their own application as well.
