  1. Hi! The schedule really depends on the semester you are in. First semester I was in lecture 3.5 days per week, plus one half day for lab, and possibly one day for clinical. All weekends are off. I’m not sure if first semester is doing clinicals currently due to covid - but other semesters definitely are. All classes (lecture) are online, while skills lab is completely in person (PPE is worn and all current state/local regulations are strictly followed). also, for the other persons question, a large majority of people in my class do have children/families. It’s a great mix. and most people in my class do have some sort of healthcare experience (CNA, EMT, volunteer, etc) good luck everyone!
  2. Hello all, I am a current student in the 2+2 program, and wanted to offer encouragement to everyone applying! I remember the application process and waiting for the decisions was SO nerve wracking, but worth it in the end. If anyone has any questions in regards to the program, I’d gladly give some feedback/answers! congrats to everyone applying!
  3. sounds too passive-aggressive to me.
  4. thankyou!! Mine was ~3.78gpa science and a bit lower around 3.70 for my cumulative! I have prior volunteer and healthcare experience ?

  9. Don’t loose hope! From what I hear Azusa looks at everything very holistically. You got this! also, does anyone have any updates? I keep checking my phone ?
  10. Awesome! I called on Monday and the rep stated that things were delayed due to covid and we can expect them “by the end of next week”!!
  11. This might make people upset...but... If I spent 4+ years of hard work getting my BSN, I am NOT going to fold laundry. I am there to provide expert nursing care and to clinically take care of my patients. If you continue to be the “yes-man” you are going to be walked all over. Sorry not sorry.
  12. Congratulations on your acceptance @23Monica23!! I still haven’t heard back from APU. Anyone else have any updates?
  13. Good luck to you! Do you mind sharing your stats?
  14. I emailed the admissions department and they stated that they expect Fall 2020 admission decisions to be sent in the second week of July!!??

  20. Hi!! I am applying for Fall 2020! GPA: 3.76 Volunteer: 100+ hours Current certified healthcare experience: 4,000+ hours Letters of rec from 2 MSN/DNP nursing supervisors Good luck! PRAYING I get accepted ?
  21. yikes, no offense but "holding" a debit card for ANYONE let alone a patient (you are not assigned to) is out of bounds and totally unprofessional. All you can do is learn and grow from this. Good luck!
  22. Scary that a registered nurse even has to ask if there is any validity to this. Scary.
  23. Perhaps complete a NP residency or fellowship to make yourself more marketable (and get your foot in the door somewhere). Also, I’ve found looking on LinkedIn helps a lot. Recruiters are always on there sending me messages.

For me personally, this breaks the nurse-patient professional relationship. Not something I would be comfortable with, but everyone is different...
