Thank you for this post. I am due to start crna school in August, I have 3 children and I just found out that I am pregnant. Luckily I have a very supportive family. I will be living away from family while in school, but my sister plans to come join me when the baby is born. I have been thinking of how possible it will be but your post reassured me. Thank you once again.

Sorry about your situation. I suggest contacting schools, some will accept people dismissed from another school. If you don't mind me asking, which school were you attending?

Concentrate on your specialty. Know all the major medications you give and their mechanism of action, know the devices you use and how they work. Also, anything you put on your resume is fair game, so be prepared to talk about the skills you wrote on your resume. Also, be prepared to talk about your shadow experience. Know the difference between crna and mda, some schools ask this.

I found out today that I got in, but I also got in at st. Elizabeth in Youngstown. Now I don't know which one to choose.

I accepted an offer for crna school with st. Elizabeth health center school of anesthesia, today I got a letter showing that I have been offered a spot at Allegheny school of anesthesia as well. The two programs are very similar. I will have to move about the same distance for both. I am not sure which one to choose. Are there any graduates of these two program here? Please, what do you think? Thank you for your replies.

Congrats! Make sure to research how this school interviews so you will be prepared.

You have put in a lot of work to show your motivation. I think you should have multiple people look at your resume and personal statement, apply to multiple schools. Some schools are harder to get into. I also applied to Cincinnati, NKU, and Otterbein without success. Luckily, I was able to apply to two schools towards the end of last year. I got into one and am waiting to hear from the other one. Also try University of Akron, Lourdes university, union university, Oakland and beaumont in addition to reapplying to the schools you applied to last year. Don't give up, keep applying until you get in. Good luck.

Hello all, I applied to allegheny for the 2020 cohort. I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of the kind of questions they ask during interview. I work in a cvicu. I have heard that their interview is hard and that makes me super nervous. I am trying to prepare for interview in case I get an offer. Thank you.

Hi ClevelandICU, I applied too but haven't heard from them. I sent in my application very late though, my last reference was sent on 12/30 and their deadline was 12/31. I called them to see if they got everything they needed but didn't get a call back. So, am just waiting too.
