Had my interview with Burn ICU today! They didn’t really ask me any questions which I thought was strange. Just mainly had me ask them questions. So don’t stress if you’re interviewing there! Seems like a cool spot. Only ICU at Vanderbilt that does peds and adults.

I put ED 1, trauma ICU 2, burn ICU 3. In my video interview I said I’d want adult or peds ER as my top two though

I applied to ED. Have over 1.5 years experience in a trauma ED and had it as my first choice but got an interview for my third choice instead. Makes me wonder if ED isn’t hiring many or any this year.

I bet you got one of your first two for interview then! I don’t think anyone has heard from women’s yet.

I got the March 22 email yesterday. Just now received an email for an interview with the Burn ICU! It was my third choice but still pumped! So don’t lose faith if you got the March 22 email!

I got that one too! Makes me nervous that it means we didn’t get an interview if others heard next week. I applied adult ED. However I got an offer somewhere else in a trauma level I ED so accepting there if I don’t hear soon.

I ended up accepting outside of DC. Makes me sad to not be in the city but I got a really good offer in another city. It is a trauma ER fellowship at a level 1 that prepares you like no other. And yes, Medstar (all in the area) are pretty low pay compared to the cost of living. I am making the same amount at the other job that is in a city with a lower cost of living.

I got an interview for GT this week but ended up having an offer from two other hospitals and accepted one so I canceled my GT one.

So got an offer from MedStar Washington in the ER. Have an interview with MedStar Georgetown in mid February so not sure what to do! another hospital is my first choice and I should hear from them this week but one of this two is definitely my second choice! Would love any advice y’all have.

How was the interview at WHC? I have mine Thursday! Super nervous because I heard they rarely accept new grads into the ER. Did they tell you turn around time? Thanks!

Got an email for an interview at MedStar Washington today but still have not heard from Georgetown. Have you heard anything yet?

I applied at the beginning of December and got an email yesterday for a questionnaire of my preferences. I emailed back asking the timeline but haven’t heard back yet.

Did you apply to MedStar Washington Hospital as well or just Georgetown?

I applied when it opened up for the same cohort! I’ve been in contact with the recruiter and she said they aren’t beginning to review applications until this week so everyone could have one month to apply. So you should be fine! They haven’t started any of the process yet.

That’s awesome! My school doesn’t do practicum in ED but I’ll have over a year as a nurse extern upon graduation in the ED. Hopefully they count that. But not keeping my hopes up as I heard it’s super difficult to get in there as a new grad.

Hello Everyone! I am preparing to graduate and looking at hospitals in Atlanta as a maybe. I will have over a year as a nurse extern in the ER and a year as an ED Tech when I graduate. What are the big differences between Emory and Piedmont? Also how were the interviews for Emory picked? Were departments first come first serve? I am wanting to interview for ER and would be upset if I couldn’t because I didn’t open the email quick enough to sign up. Thank y’all!

I was SO upset! Specially since I already signed and paid a lease for an apartment up there. I also turned down an externship in DC for this which is still happening ? Luckily, the hospital I Tech at is allowing me to extern in their ER this Summer. What about you?

Ah yay! Will be nice to kinda know someone coming in since I don’t know a soul in Philadelphia. I’m closing on a sublease today. I found it through the facebook page that was suggested above! Got a super good deal and was walking distance to the hospital. I won’t be bringing my car
