Please Help!!
Maybe I didn’t make myself clear when I asked this question. I meant to ask do people have 2nd job and if yes, what kind of nursing or non-nursing job? Eveyone on here, I did not ask anyone how to fill my life nor am I sick of my friends. I was only asking if someone had any interesting idea. I was under the impression that this forum is all about helping eachother, not embarrass anyone for asking for suggestions.

PLEASE HELP!!
Congratulations on graduating and having multiple offers! I'd pick bigger hospital because at bigger hospital you'll get to see alot and gain more experience. With that experience, you can also transfer to ICU. My commute is an hour long and I love the hospital I work at. If you don't have any other obligations, then I'd pick the bigger hospital.

New nurse overutilizing ED tech
I used to work as a tech where nurses have overutilized their techs. Many times it’s the environment and thinking process nurses have. I’ve had nurses tell me I didn’t go to nursing school to wipe people’s butt or I have charting to do everytime patient had an accident. I’ve worked with nurses who won’t even grab a pitcher of water from across the hall for patients or take them to bathroom while they’re in the room with patients. So I would suggest that you talk to the nurse politely and bring up the concerns. Or Explain how the ED environment is different than Medsurg/psych.

CRNA Admission
Thank you AGRN 152. Your response was really informative. Usually, when can you take CCRN? I am thinking of getting at least 2.5 years of experience. Also, I have 2nd undergraduate degree in biochemistry, but I didn't do well in my 1st degree. Do you know if schools look at other degrees along with nursing degree?

Pay Differential
Thank you everyone! I’ll definitely reach out to HR again.

Pay Differential
Hi Everyone, this might sound like a stupid question. I’ll be starting my first job as RN in few weeks. My HR recruiter didn’t tell me my shift differential, she said I’ll see it on my paycheck. I’ll be working nightshift 7pm- 7am. My question: does shift differential differ from 7-11pm and 11pm-7am or is it just one differential from 7-7am. The reason I ask because a friend of mine got a job at different hospital and she was told her differential from 7-11pm and 11-7am.
