  5. Belgian bank don't do background checks for debtors. I left Belgium in 2016 to come to US. I still have balance left for my car loan. The bank emailed me once before to settle my balance but how am I going to pay it me here in the US. After that no more communication done even though they still have my email add. I am just worried now if that debt might appear in the background check that they are now conducting.
  6. My employer is using first advantage background check. Are they really thorough in their background checks? Any experience with that company for background checks? I am not concern them me checking my background here in the US coz I've got no delinquencies or any records. The only concern I have is the money I owed from the bank for car loan that I left in Belgium.
  7. I got a good credit report here in the US that I am sure of and I already signed the consent for them to check it. What concerns me is my unpaid loan in Belgium. My employer is conducting my background check internationally. Will they find it out? I mean I think it is not a crime but would it affect my application soon?
  8. I am pretty sure I've got good credit history here in the US. What I am worried about is the debt I left in Belgium. Are they going to find it out? Could it affect my pending employment?
  9. I got a question regarding credits and debts, I worked in Belgium for 5 yrs. as a nurse and started getting a car loan. I moved to US in 2016 because my immigrant visa was approved so to cut the story short I left an unpaid car loan and some small amount of unpaid credit card. Now, I am applying for a Job and waiting for a background check. Would my unpaid loan appear in my background check? Any information will be helpful coz I already gave 2 weeks notice in my current employer. I am very worried right now. I have no intention to evade my obligation it's just that it is difficult to arrange payment while you are still in the transition process of starting your life here in the US.
