I heard today that an internal applicant has not heard back yet. Super odd.

Right. Same. I wrote to the HR person who handled my app and I received no response so I think I kind of guessed that they're not considering me anymore

No, I know people in the special clinical program that got offers in medical/surgical/tele though they applied with interests in specialties. I saw a FB post of someone that works there and they have a rise of covid-19 cases. I haven't heard of any external applicants getting a call though

Work part time! Find an outpatient clinic like allergy clinic or primary care. Maybe home healthcare that trains new grads? I know one new grad in patient residency accepting new grads part-time. You have so much time to network and find a part time opportunity.

I applied this past Tuesday, can anyone tell me when can I expect to hear back if I applied this late in the cycle?

I haven't heard anything, but they haven't even interviewed internal candidates yet (PCAs that recently graduated RNs).

@nursepaloma you know, now that I've asked someone that is part of the scholarship program and someone that just interviewed as part of this special program, it seems very similar. Their website says that they'll be interviewing in July, so I'm hoping that after this program gets their hired on, they'll move on to other candidates? One can hope

@nursepaloma no, the people hat got a call back for interviews are not scholarship. They were in a special program with memorial where they did all their clinicals there.

Hi! Is anyone a new grad nurse here? With hospitals in hirizing freeze, I'm wondering how people are going to manage taking on DNP while possibly being unemployed for a while. I wanted part time so I could commit to units for at least two years, but that with new grad programs getting cancelled... I'm not sure that will be able to be realistic.
