NP contract offer in Michigan
Hello All, Got my first offer as an NP in Michigan. It is 100k base pay, with potential to move to 105 k after a year. Also 4 weeks PTO, and health benefits for employee and family. Retirement is available but I do not know the details yet, and CMEs paid for. Any opinions from seasoned NPs on this? Thanks a lot!!

Teaching and working primary job
I am thinking about teaching in the future once I graduate as an FNP and gain some experience. I was wondering if anyone knew of someone or knows in general, if it there are many opportunities for part time teaching jobs and if those jobs are flexible enough to allow for another primary job at a clinic/hospital? I want to pay off my student loans quickly ? I also think I would enjoy teaching once I have experience.

Hi @Misstoffee What program did you apply to? I do remember reading on this post somewhere that certain programs may take longer. I was told that answers would be given mid to late March for the early deadline, and I received mine mid March. Good luck to you!!

Hi @mcjobson, Thank you for all the great advice! I actually received the invitation for the Kira interview the day after I submitted the application, so I do wonder if it was automated to send out the invitation or not. I really hope it is a good sign they only asked for Kira interview.

Hi @mcjobson thank you for letting us know! If you don't mind answering, do you find it possible to work during the program? If so full-time or just part- time? Also I know U of M finds clinical placement, how has that process been? Thank you ! ?

Michigan CRNA Schools
Congratulations mountains&stethoscopes on your acceptance and choosing of a program! I just graduated and want to apply to schools in Michigan after I get my year of experience hopefully in ICU. Do you mind me asking what GPA range your school usually accepts applicants? I know their website says 3.0 but its usually different when you talk to the advisors at the schools. Thank you

If I fail a class in my BSN program do I still have a chance to get into NP school?
Hi, Thank you for your reply! I would be happy going to a reputable school, it does not have to be the highest ranking but somewhere that is still respected and somewhere that is not for-profit like I am at now. I feel like they are quick to fail us to make more money on class repeats. So do you really think I would still have a chance? I have two skills left I have to perform without fails, however, thinking this professor is out to fail me for anything. So depressed right now

If I fail a class in my BSN program do I still have a chance to get into NP school?
Hello All, I am currently in a BSN program and have a 3.9 GPA, however in my fundamentals class I am one skill fail away from failing the entire course. This is all so shocking to me because I am a very hard working student who gets good grades, however I automatically failed a skill for not bringing a bag to class that was not even needed that day. I still have a chance to pass but just in case I don't pass, I would like to know if I fail this class and have an F on my transcript will it hurt my chances of getting accepted to NP school? If I fail the course my GPA will drop to a 3.5, and then will go up slightly once I retake the class and get a better grade (hopefully an A), but I am worried that NP programs will see the F I got the first time and turn me away. Can anyone who has seen anyone in a similar situation let me know what they think would happen?
