For those who are in Butte’s program or graduated from the program, how is it? Are the teachers good at teaching?

How are the teachers? Are they helpful? And do you feel like what you study for are on the exams?

Does anyone know what percentage students need to pass for theory/exams? Also how is San Joaquin Delta’s nursing program? I haven’t heard much about it.

I’m not sure because I’m already a student at Stanislaus. You should definitely call the nursing department on Monday. They don’t open on the weekend unfortunately.

I just did it through my bank. Did you put Stanislaus’s address on there? I only put that I’m paying to the order of “CSU Stanislaus, Nursing.”

I’ve never done money order before. Where did you go to fill out money order?

Will it notify me if the school retrieved it? Btw, when you guys paid it through money order, did you attach your receipt to the application just to show proof?

Hey guys! If I took my TEAS at another institution, would I have to pay an extra $23ish from the ATI’s website?

I know every semester is different, but do you guys know how far they usually accept people on the waitlist? I’m so nervous because I don’t really have a good prereqs GPA ?

What number were you on the waitlist?

How many pts did you apply the first time? I think I’ll be applying with 88 pts for spring 2020. Not sure if it’s good enough ?

I took the course in 2014 so the rules must have changed then. Is this your first time applying? Also, what is your TEAS score if you don’t mind me asking?

@callmepri Hello, I am planning to apply for spring 2020. My science GPA isn’t that great because I got a C+ in Physiology ? I still need to take my TEAS and retake Physio, so I hope I do great on them. Do you know if taking a year of a language class count as being bilingual? I am bilingual and took the language I speak in high school.

Hi guys, I'm having a hard time deciding what to do. I live in CA with my dad and stepmom. I'll be done with my last nursing prerequisite in Fall 2019, so I'll start applying to multiple nursing programs soon. I'm not sure if I should apply to CA nursing programs or move out of state to live with my mom and stepdad. I'm worried that if I live in CA then I will have to take out extra loans for school tuition and other bills. My dad and stepmom wants me to help them pay rent and other utilities. I honestly don't mind helping, but I'm also looking to be in LESS debt. The BSN program in CA costs $40k for 3 years. If I move out of state, then I'd still have to take out loans to pay for school tuition. However, out of state tuition is expensive! The school I plan to apply to is an ADN program. Out of state tuition costs $24k for one year. I'm not sure if tuition will lower once residency is proven in a year, but if it does lower then the second year of school will cost $6-9k. I do plan to bridge from ADN to BSN too. I told my mom about my concerns and she and my stepdad agreed that I don't have to pay any bills. They just want me to focus in school and told me to work part time so I can pay my debt. 1. Would it be a better option to stay in CA or move out of state? 2. If I do move out of state, would it be hard to come back to CA? 3. Will I be in less debt if I move out state?

Hello everyone! So I need your opinion. Any feedback will help me too. Well, last semester I got a C+ in Physio and it really dropped my pre-reqs GPA. I am not even sure if I am guaranteed to get into the nursing program. I guess the only way to boost up my total score for the nursing program is to do good on my TEAS, which I have not taken yet. I am also planning to take Microbio next semester, but there are really sucky teachers teaching for fall semester and I do not want to fail that class. I only have ONE chance to retake any of my science classes, but I am not sure what to do. If I do good in my microbio class, I am planning to retake physio. I'm just worried that I will do bad in microbio and that would leave me off with one choice of choosing to retake physio or microbio My question is whether you would take microbio with a sucky teacher or take it next semester with a better teacher? It is just that if I do not take microbio this semester, then I would fall behind. What would you do? Btw, do you guys think I have a fair chance of getting into the nursing program? Here are my stats: Science classes: Chemistry: B Anatomy: A Physio: C+ MB: not taken yet Prereqs GPA: 3.2 nonscience classes: I got all A's Nonscience GPA: 4.0 Total GPA: 3.72 (It was 3.84 before)

There is no one who I can speak to in regards to the program. We have counselors who don't know anything about the programs requirements. I am not sure if I can get a better grade other than a C+. My sister told me to continue with the class and just accept the C+ because it's better than nothing, but it will affect my overall and science GPA. I have 2 more exams and a final. My teacher also gives out homework and other assignments to help our grades, but the points won't make a difference because the exams are worth more than the homework/assignment points.

Hello! I am a new member here and I would like to get advice from everyone. As of now, I am almost done with my prereqs but I still have microbiology left. I am currently taking Physiology but I am not doing so well in this course. I did horrible on my first exam and I know it's not only going to jeopardize my grade, but also lower my chances of getting into a CSU Nursing Program. I was planning to drop out from Physiology, but doing so will result me in getting a "W" (withdrawal) since I didn't drop the course before the census date. I have a feeling that I might pass the class with a C+ or lower so I'm not sure which route to go. At my school, we have 1 chance to retake a science and non science course. If I continue with the class and get a bad grade, I can always retake the course at a community college but it will lower my cumulative gpa for Spring 2018. If I drop out, I will get a "W", which it won't affect my gpa but it will stay on my transcript. I can still retake the class at a cc, but I'm not sure if taking a "W" will count as me using my chance already. I don't have a specific counselor/advisor to talk to about the nursing program so it's really hard find someone who understands about the program. Sorry if this post was long, but I would like to hear your stories, opinions, and advice. Thank you! My gpa: Cumulative- 3.85 Nonscience- 4.0 Science- 3.67 (excluding Physio and Microbio)
