  1. CONGRATS on the interviews y'all. Traditionally TCU is stingy with their interview invites so to get an invite is a good sign for sure. Biggest advice for the interviews: be yourself and if you don't know the answer then say "I don't know", don't try to make something up, they will know. Some people got more clinical based questions than others, I don't know why. However, when I interviewed we still had the old program director, now that Dr. Ward is here she might shake things up a bit. Best of luck!
  2. I'm working on applying as well! I had the same question about the personal statement/writing sample we have the option to submit. Did y'all just submit a generic this is why I wanna be a CRNA and why you are a strong applicant? Second question, on the practice survey form, the instructions say how "frequently do you PERSONALLY PERFORM the following skills" and some of the items listed include central line and a-line insertion as well as vent changes. They don't literally mean how often do we as nurses place a line do they? I am assuming they mean how frequently do we assist in those bedside procedures..... right???
  3. I have several questions so bear with me :) 1. I saw that you have your masters from CRNA school. I'm not sure how many doctorate CRNA programs were available when you started school, but if you were in my shoes (looking to start CRNA school in the next year or 2) would you choose a doctorate or masters program and why? 2. Where did you go to school and what were some of the pros and cons with that school? 3. Have you worked as a CRNA in both a metropolitan area as well as rural? If so, what were some of the pros and cons of each? P.S. You da bomb for taking the time to do this for those of us interested in CRNA school!! Thank you!
