  1. I got an interview to UT, but denied it since I am happy with TCU. Hopefully that helps some of y'all out. Keep your heads up, you will reach your goal one way or the other!! Advice wise, I found a mock interview and 10/10 recommend. I did mine through CRNA prep academy! She gave me great things to work on, and was good to have someone that doesn't know me look at me in the interview standpoint. I have heard UT does clinical, personal, and ethical questions. So prepare for the potential clinical questions. TWU my friend last year was asked all clinical. Specifically: what is preload, when are your coronary arteries perfused and why are they perfused then, what is after load. She is a CVICU nurse tho so know they expected her to know hemodynamics. And there is one Chemistry professor in the interviews that if you have her she ask a simple Chemistry question, its okay if you don't know it tho. Good luck to everyone!!
  2. Good luck to all of us! Just remember they didn’t give you a spot to interview unless they like you on paper, we have already impressed them. Hopefully, we are in school together soon♥️
  3. I currently work in the CVICU and am looking into getting a new stethoscope I have the cardiology 3 I believe the tubing is starting to wear down. I am applying to crna school this year. My question is in the OR do you use your own stethoscope or do you use one they provide to you? I just don’t want to spend my money on something super nice if I won’t use it in crna school or as a crna.
  4. Hi! I haven't noticed a thread made for this year, but I know I am not alone in applying to CRNA school, figured a way for everyone to share updates and stats! Super scary/exciting applying this year but I wish everyone the best! My stats: GPA 3.70, GRE 307 4.5 writing, CCRN, 2 years now as a CVICU RN. I have taken organic chemistry 1 in the fall.
  5. Hi I just graduated from Techs nursing program! Honestly I know a lot of people that got in with "worse"stats then that. They really look at the interview, even the Dean will say that's what they go off of. They just want to see you really want to be a nurse because it won't be eas. The people that interview are the professors the, selves, they are the nicest people ever, and want to see you succeed. GOOD LUCK
