  1. Good evening, I am applying to the summer'18 and fall'18 nursing programs of Texas Tech University. I am slightly panicking because GPA and healthcare experience. I met with an advisor a week ago who told me the programs only accept 75 people, and the cut off for GPA varies. here is my stats and background. I have a 3.5 overall GPA and a 3.75 science GPA. I passed the TEAS. I have HOSA experience, PALS, and a nurse aide experience all resulting in well over 209 hours of volunteer service. I currently volunteer at JPS hospital with the oncology department and clinic for 8 hours a week. My question is: how likely does it seem for me to get in? Does anyone have friends who have been accepted with similar profiles? And if it were me against a 3.8 GPA with no health care back ground, would I be put first?
