Texas Christian University (TCU) - applying for 2022
I agree with your husband on this. Baylor's interview period just finished so TCU is likely trying to lock in their cohort before Baylor sends out acceptance decisions. Kinda wish they would at least let the rest of us know if we are wait-listed or just rejected all together instead of waiting around to hear back anything all.

TCRN Certification Study Materials
I am interested in obtaining my TCRN certification but I have been told that TCRN does not offer any official study materials. Does anyone have any recommendations for study material or study tips? TIA!

GPA and GRE that you were accepted with?
Looking to see what my chances are just strictly based off of stats. I know that there is a lot more that goes into being accepted (interview, experience, certifications, references), but I just want to see the numbers for those who have been accepted. GPA: (BSN and/or overall) GRE: Thanks in advance to everyone who replies!

Blazer to a nurse extern interview?
Interview tomorrow at a surgical hospital for a nurse extern position. Do y'all think it's necessary to wear a jacket to an interview for this type of position? The HR coordinator said it would be a tour of the facility and to meet with the person that would be my supervisor so I am not sure if it is like a formal interview where I sit across a boardroom table and they drill me with questions. Any advice is welcomed for future interviews when applying for an RN position :)

Any certifications I can earn as a student to better my resume for when I graduate?
I asked this in the general nursing forum since experienced nurses may have a better idea of any options. If you think it would receive better feedback in another forum, let me know so that I can request that the admins move it to another thread :)

Any certifications I can earn as a student to better my resume for when I graduate?
This summer I have been looking at the various certifications a new graduate nurse can earn to better their education and make their resume stronger (ex. CCRN). I will graduate in about a year with my BSN but I would like to start working on any certifications I can to make my application stronger than others that I will be competing with for job opportunities. I am almost certain I will want to work in a critical care setting so if anyone here knows of any certifications or courses that would look good for a new grad applying to a critical care unit in the hospital, please let me know. Especially if they are certifications I can start on as a student. P.s. I work as a nurse extern primarily in the ER. TIA
