  1. My recruiter was in Raleigh, I was selected for the May 2018 COT. My advice is to be polite and persistent if you have the patience or consider contacting another recruiter close by (in another state). They are all very busy but I have heard some are a bit more motivated than others. Best of luck to you! Feel free to PM me with any questions you have.
  2. I think the best advice is to expect after the holiday and be pleasantly surprised if word comes sooner. Best of luck to you guys. :)
  3. There is a page called COT 18-04 on Facebook, come join us. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
  4. I'm sorry to hear that The good news is that next year you will have two years experience. Wishing you the best and if you still want this, don't give up!
  5. I think a Facebook group is a great idea. Looking forward to meeting you all. I think our class is 18-04.
  6. I didn't get any of that information, just a phone call saying I got selected and the assignment. Recruiter said to expect a letter of acceptance Monday. Hoping you get some good news tomorrow!
  7. I was also selected for May 21st. Mental Health specialty - going to JBER in Anchorage, Alaska!
  8. I was also selected for May 21st! Congrats man.
  9. Mine hasn't responded in two weeks. I don't know what to think anymore.
  10. I think those of us in NC/SC/parts of Georgia probably all have the same recruiter... I haven't heard anything new this week, he's not responding :/ Hopeful for "no later than Monday" though that's the second time I've heard those exact words. Hopefully soon everyone!
  11. I didn't get any word either, my recruiter did send me the SF86 Security Clearance packet "if I were to be selected". From what I can tell however, some people received that during their application packet phase? The hope continues, maybe next week.
  12. These are the fitness standards I was told to go by. http://www.afpc.af.mil/Portals/70/documents/Home/AF%20Fitness%20Program/FITNESS%20CHARTS.pdf I can't speak for the benefits/pay as I do not know myself. Hope this helps some.
  13. All I heard today was "No word yet due to assignment back up" and that I'd be called tomorrow. Disappointing but not at all unexpected. Gotta stay patient and hopeful for tomorrow. :)
  14. Just try to relax! It honestly was not that different from previous interviews I've experienced other than the obviously military specific questions. Let us know how it goes. :)
  15. Hey there, Also in NC. My CNO interview took place at SJAFB. You should be familiar with the Air Force mission and the core values. Also I was asked about specific examples that showed evidence of critical thinking and had to give an example of a previously encountered ethical dilemma. The rest of the interview was basic questions that many others have mentioned including readiness to deploy for yourself and your family, willingness to carry firearms, strengths and weaknesses, etc. Best of luck to you.
  16. I would bet on Monday, and not be at all surprised if that actually means Tuesday. Try to stay busy so you're not just waiting anxiously. I need to do the same, haha.
  17. Hey all, Received an e-mail from my recruiter this morning that said the board had made their selections and that they were currently matching assignments to those selected. The names of those selected should be released no later than Monday. Best of luck to everyone.
  18. Thanks for sharing! Hopefully we'll all get some good news next week then. Probably safe to assume we're not going to COT in October, but then again who knows?
  19. Hey everyone, Have any of those that applied for FQ FY18 gotten any news yet?
  20. How were you guys notified of selection? Via recruiter? Thanks :)
  21. I'm not sure of the specifics regarding the clinical practice hours, that may be based on an honor system with the potential for an audit, but you will log all of your CE's prior to paying the examination fee which is reviewed before receiving authorization to test. Best of luck to you!
  22. Just heard back from DODMERB that I was medically qualified last week. Supposed to hear from my recruiter some time next week. I have not had the CN interview yet. I'm also in the southeast region and my recruiter is sometimes difficult to get in touch with. I don't know any specifics regarding critical care but I wish you the best of luck! I'm applying for a fully qualified psych-mental health slot.
  23. Hey everyone, I'm applying for psych-mental health for FY2018. Still waiting for approval from DoDMERB - had to send in some additional medical information. My recruiter initially wanted me medically approved before he set up the CN interview but since it's taking longer than expected he's working on it now. I started this process last July and it's taken quite awhile but I'm just as excited and determined to make it work as I was then. Wish you all the best of luck.
  24. Jfratian, Can you share some insight into the need/role of mental health RN's in the Air Force currently, as well as common duty stations? I included Asian pacific bases on my dream sheet and I was curious about the likelihood of going overseas as a first duty station. I spent about a year in Korea with my spouse and loved it over there. Thanks for any information you can provide.
  25. Thank you both for sharing, that is very helpful!
