Well I'll be damned. lol My cheap watch broke too, so this is timely. Turns out a $5.95 watch doesn't have much longevity.

I'm a tech girl. I have all of the things you mentioned because, well, I like them and I can afford them. That being said, I don't *need* any of them for nursing school. Not one. We aren't even allowed to have our phones in the facility during clinicals, so that point is moot. I'd say if you want to get them, go for it. But will it make you a better student or get you better grades? No, I don't think so. Ironically, I have an Apple Watch, but had to buy a cheapo Walmart watch with a second hand because the Apple Watch won't stay on for a full 60 seconds.

I just started my nursing program at 35 after finishing my pre-reqs and I will be 37 when I graduate. I haven't polled the ages of my classmates, but I'd say its a healthy mix of traditional and non-traditional. The ages of your potential classmates shouldn't matter, though. If you want it, go get it!

According to past posts OP went to GWU, which is a respected (private, but respected) nursing school. I'm not sure what the problem is, guy. Did you fail your NCLEX and are angry at all nursing schools now? I'm really sorry you're having a tough time. I love my school and I've had a great experience so far. As far as shortages, it depends on the region. I live in the south and there is a high demand for BSN-prepared nurses in my area right now.

I'm dating my husband of 13 years during school. Does that count? Actually, it's less "dating" and more "frantically trying to juggle four kids, his job, my school, and not kill each other in the process." We're romantics.

I've rented every book I possibly could from Amazon. The only reason I went elsewhere would have been because they were out of stock. They're the cheapest 95% of the time, easy to receive and return (keep the box the books came in to make it even easier), and the books have been in good used shape.

There is a great A&P lecture series on YouTube called AnatomyGMC. I used it to help with my online A&P and it saved my life. She is really great at explaining things.

Our online class had a virtual cadaver lab. No animals.

You have to stop talking to these people. It's really is that simple. If you get in trouble for participating in spreading rumors, you'll deal with that when it comes (i.e. own up to it). In the meantime, pretend like those people don't exist and focus on graduating from nursing school.

I've actually researched this quite a bit. There are listings for nurses at various Disney properties on the Disney Careers website. They generally require a BSN and at least two years experience. I have scoured the internet for forum posts of people who have worked as a nurse at Disney and they're aren't a lot. I do remember seeing one post saying that they tend to hire more part-time schedules for their nurses, but I haven't been able to confirm that. It's kind of my dream, actually. I love WDW.

I start my nursing program this fall and I'm wondering which planner people prefer when it comes to keeping assignments, tests, etc., together. I'm a tech girl who uses Google calendar and iCal for my personal life, but I was wondering if a tangible paper planner (like an Erin Condren or whatever) would be better for classes. Which kind of planner do you like to use?

It's true and it's why so many nursing schools have high GPA requirements to get in.

Ok, I just took a quick glance at your other posts and you have had "issues" with several professors. Judging by that and the irrational way you responded to Rocknurse, I'm thinking it's a you problem.
