  1. Thanks! yeah that makes sense for sure I think i'll stick with RN.
  2. I am debating between taking RN or RPN.. I was accepted into both but is there really a big difference besides the length of schooling? Is RN really much harder and more stressful? Thanks in advance!
  3. Did you end up choosing an upgrading route?
  4. Good luck! Go over basic things like multiplication, fractions, basic bio and chem.. There should be more info on Google in regards to the test. I quit everything to go to school in the fall to become an RN i'm 28 and will have four years of school. I know it will be very difficult but my gut has always told me I should've done nursing.
  5. I am starting my BScN in the fall and also hope to purse my NP in the future. Looking forward to seeing the responses!
  6. I am starting my BScN degree in the fall when I graduate as an RN i'll be 32. I plan on working a few years and apply to grad school for nurse practitioner at 35. I'm wondering if anyone has gone for the nurse practitioner degree around this age or older? I figured out what I truly wanted a little later in life as i'm in my late 20's right now.
  7. I took both pre-health and ACE the free upgrading program at thE local college here. I found in ACE the teachers werE very helpful and accommodating it was very similar to pre-health. In pre-health you have lectures but I found for the chemistry and some of the math some of it was self taught in the sense that you had to go over the homework and sometimes relearn it at home but it is high school level and completely doable :)
  8. Most colleges have a program called ACE. It's free and you can upgrade at your local college I would call or email the college to get more info.
  9. I think it would depend on the school itself. But I have heard from alot of students that the collaborative route with the college is better that is the route i'm taking.
  10. Got into St. Clair for BScN. Accepted my offer :)
  11. Yes I've been wanting to go into nursing since grade school.. I went into other healthcare programs such as ultrasound tech and Respiratory but I was always so interested in what the nurses were doing while on clinical. I felt like that's what I really wanted to be doing.
  12. Can I ask are you and RPN or RN and what area or nursing you work in?
  13. I was accepted into a RN BScN and RPN program in Ontario and I've seen so many posts with unhappy nurses I'm wondering if anyone actually likes being a nurse?
