  1. They do provide placement, but the current cohort has not been placed yet for them. I think initially they would have started under Summer semester Year 2 for clinical placements but SON most likely has changed it since they admitted the students. Your friend must be an great student because even that workload sounds daunting to me, especially with how students she told me have dropped.
  2. I was able to get in contact with a current student there who told me a number of people have left the inaugural cohort because it is completely disorganized. The person I spoke to had to drop to per diem and said for the next year with clinical rotations that they should be flexible with scheduling (at work) since no one in sure where they will be placed. She also told me that the current work load is 1x a week class, 10-12 assignments a week, lot of group work and reading. Also looks like they had to have their clinical semester this June pushed out until January. Unfortunately, I have to put in my schedule a month or so in advance and cannot change it easily.
  3. I also was accepted but am on the fence on accepting admission, I have some reservations about how new the program is and the cost. My other FNP offer is a MSN is much less costly.
  4. Not sure if you still keep tabs on this topic but I am looking to apply to the next cycle and cannot find any application pool stats or many threads about SSU. Looking for some answers to the program!
  5. Hi guys! Not sure if any of you guys still keep tabs on this topic but I am looking to apply to the next cycle and cannot find any application pool stats or many threads about SSU. Looking for some answers to the program!
  6. Received an email yesterday for a surgical interview, however I will be turning it down so there will be another spot open for interviews. Good luck everyone!
  7. My friends received offers for Cardiology and for PCU. But my friend for PCU turned down her offer.
  8. After a weekend of stewing, HR called me today around 3 pm to offer me a position on their Oncology unit. It can still happen you all! Good luck, fingers crossed for you guys!
  9. I feel like tomorrow they will be letting people know whether or not they have been extended an offer.
  10. Another friend that just interviewed said that units have until next Wednesday to finalize their selections for the cohort for February, which means after next Wednesday that'll be it for the February cohort and some units will start looking into April.
  11. Thanks for the information. Did you interview as well for a unit?
  12. I have not been offered the position yet and forgot to ask for the timeline during my interview. It's been about a 1.5 weeks since I had all my references submitted.
  13. Yup, I was one of the first interview dates and so I received a reference check exactly one week from when I interviewed. In the past, I heard that only those being seriously considered for the position receive the reference check.
  14. When I interviewed for Oncology they told me it was for a February start date.
  15. Last week, saw on a thread on Facebook that someone had an interview scheduled for NICU at Davis. So I believe they may have already scheduled all NICU interviews. Also know that PCU interviewed.
  16. You may not be, but I believe you have to have a BSN or MSN completed for Davis.
  17. BMT/Oncology. I believe interviews are already done for the unit based on the dates they gave me.
  18. I received a call to interview on 12/27. It seems to be unit by unit and received a e-mail yesterday for references. Good luck everyone!
  19. I haven't gotten an e-mail from Extended Learning about any of that stuff... now I'm wondering if I should be worried? I'll shoot them an e-mail tomorrow.
  20. I just checked my student portal and I was admitted today!
  21. Thanks! I'm hopeful, my paperwork is what really screwed me since I applied in February and they didn't let me know that my application wasn't complete until the first week of April. But I asked and they said that the first and second round of acceptances have already gone out. Now they're just waiting on people to decline their offers if anything. How long did you guys have to accept your offer?
  22. I just got my evaluation today, I have 38 points. So I'm hopeful there are still spots since they are still accepting applications. I sent an e-mail to my counselor today, asking about spots.
  23. I e-mailed them too since I was curious and they just told me to wait for my evaluation first and then redirected me to my counselor.
  24. When I asked last week, they said they were still accepting applications for the Fall cohort. Plus mine wasn't considered "completed" until last week, so I think you should be good.
  25. You could always e-mail Extended Learning for a more approximate date, hopefully it's soon so you can make a decision.
