  1. I do work. I work 3/8s in the OR. I am a mom and have a family as well. There is time to do everything as long as you're organized (this is quarter depending). Just take into consideration that some quarters are busier than others and sacrifices have to be made. It gets lonely and very very stressful at times. Sometimes I feel like a terrible mom for being so busy... but I remind myself that this is just for short period of time and that I will not be a student forever. I do have one classmate living in the city. Happy to say that I will be graduating next year in July!
  2. Hi. Currently in the program. About to finish my second year. If you're dedicated and focused enough you could keep working your 3/12s I would say until graduation. When you enter your second year you will have to go to clinic and do 160 hours per quarter. This program is very demanding. There is a lot of work and also several proctored exams. long story short... yes you could work... only if you're focused and have excellent time management skills. ***clinical placement has been no issue. And this was one of the reasons why I chose this program. good luck! I gotta say... I am very happy with my choice.
  3. ? how can I get a hold of any of the students in the program to ask them a few questions? This is such a life changing decision that I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
  4. I was accepted too. My only hesitation is that It was recommended that we do not work full time during the program. I am very concerned about losing my financial independence for the next three years.
  5. Hi! Anyone applied to the 2023 UC Davis DNP-FNP program? I submitted my application January 10th. I'm eager to know if others have heard about this program? Admissions rates? Etc
