  1. Hello all, I have completed IPN this past month and I want to work at Baptist hospital in Florida. I am filling out the application and it's asking me if I was ever in a recovery program and gives IPN as one of the examples. I am doing the employee health assessment portion and I disclosed that I have been treated for mental illness in the past. I am being honest like they say to be but I really don't want to be honest if it's going to automatically disqualify me. Has anyone here worked at Baptist and either was in IPN or has completed IPN?
  2. IPN is shady. I would stay away from it at all costs even if it means dropping out of school and starting over. I have a five year contract for mental health. It will be a five year contract if you enter the program. Five years of checking in every day. Five years of drug tests. Five years of meetings. Do not enter this program. They are shady in that I believe they do things to make you stay in the program like sticking you with a contract even though you're evaluation was flawless and it was reported you were stable. Or sticking you with a substance abuse disorder when you show up positive for alcohol because you ate soy sauce. Do not join this program unless the board of nursing orders you to in order to keep your license. I hope the school did not report you to the board.
  3. Im in transitional monitoring in Florida currently. In my contract before I even went into TM there was a section that explained the lifted restrictions. Now I don't need a supervisor, I can work in hospice, I can do overtime, and a few other things. My employer still needs to fill out an evaluation every quarter. I hope that answers your question.
  4. In my state it's 3 strikes until you need an evaluation. I missed two check ins in a short amount of time and one of those was a testing day. I had to do an evaluation. This year I missed two again in January and another in April. I immediately self tested the same day I missed (around 4pm) and was not penalized. You should be okay with just one missed check in. But don't miss another anytime soon. I set an alarm at 4am and check in and another at 9am to double check. I keep screenshots just case.
  5. Update: my test was negative, thank goodness. After doing some research on the internet some studies say that using hand sanitizer can cause false positives. Even though I've never had a problem using hand sanitizer I think I'll switch to the alcohol free kind or just wash my hands from here on out to save me the peace of mind.
  6. Okay thanks. I just need reassurance.
  7. So I usually use hand sanitizer and never had a problem but now I'm worried because I stupidly sniffed my hand to see if they still smelled like gloves after I used it. Right after I did that I had instant regret. I'm worried I'll test positive for alcohol now. I've never drank since I've been in a recovery program. And I don't have a substance problem. Do yall think I'll be positive? Should I go pee a few times before I test? Any info is helpful.
  8. Somewhere in the emails and handbook they mention going to Lab Core. They have multiple locations and are fairly inexpensive. Be sure to ask to join the FSCJ c/o 2018 Fall 2017 Applicants facebook page. There is a lot more information sharing and discussion going on compared to here.
  9. Peoole who had 220 points were placed on the alternate list and 221 points got you in. I never calculated my own points
  10. I received my acceptance email today at 3:00 pm. Good luck everyone! Don't give up this was my second time applying :)
