Probation

Anyone know how probation is working during this pandemic?? I submitted my stipulated settlement agreement to the board and am anxiously waiting for my "Decision and order" and thus probation to start for a dui..soo nervous about this as I have a full time job and 2 kids and literally never drink but of course I had a prior from 10 years ago so this is my second dui total and first while being a nurse..anywho. Any help is so greatly appreciated. I'm in Cali and not looking forward to the wrath of the board but I'll likely get full probation stipulations and terms..

Are you asking about court probation right now? I can give insight into that, at least for my situation (I am on a very strict sobriety court probation for 2nd DUI). If you are asking monitoring, I’m not in it yet (hopefully never) so can’t offer much insight there.

My court fees and Classes and everything are all done with-I have the interlock til September so almost done with that too -I’m talking about probation through the board Bc of all the covid shelter in place restrictions in just trying to gage how I’ll be reprimanded at this point and how probation will work With terms 1-19 with urine testing meetings etc. I have been sober since it happened in August 2018 -although rarely drank even before that -it was my husbands birthday but anyways -I’m just trying to figure this all out bc I signed a stipulated settlement in February ..but haven’t received anything yet.

Update -just got decision and order have probation terms 1-19 and I start may 15th Good Lord give me strength and $$ to figure this out and weather this storm -I think I’m gonna start a blog bc all this I formation needs to be in one place for us nurses

@ESRN35 I am in the exact same boat as you! I signed my stipulated agreement March 4th and took terms 1-19 for 3 years probation. When you got your order and decision, did they assign you a probation monitor with it? Also, does your license go into effect May 15th? Will you have to complete a mental health exam and physical exam? Just trying to find out exactly what happened for you so I can guess how mine will go. What day did you sign your stipulated agreement if you don’t mind me asking. Thank you so much!

Can we connect via a different platform as I rarely check this ! Glad to know I’m not the only one ! I was assigned a probation unit monitor before I received the decision and order in the mail I have to complete all the things 1-19 entail so yes physical and mental Evaluate testing etc . I signed agreement in February 21 I believe ?

Update! 6months in--testing is about 4-5 times a month at about $100 per test...Waiting to hear whether or not probation monitor will let up on any restrictions-will update when I know.

Hi @Bianca0206 and @ESRN35 and @Laurarichardson2003 can I connect with you guys via email too? My license was put on probation and I've interviewed for about 25 jobs and have been offered every single job. However, nobody wants to deal with the probation. I'm wondering what kind of jobs you guys are applying for that the employer has agreed to deal with the probation.
