Hey everyone. I have a question. For the program that I'm applying for in may my GPA has to be a 2.5 for the general education courses. My GPA as if right now is a 3.5 (not counting this semester yet). Now this program is starting to become competitive. Should I be concerned and retake those three classes that I made a B in or just keep them and continue to work my butt off until I apply.

Continue to work your butt off. Your GPA is good and some B's should not effect you harshly.

Just keep plugging away at the classes you have left to take. You should be fine with B's. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I'd schedule an appointment with your advisor, they should be able to give you a good ideal of what a competitive applicant looks like.

I agree with SycamoreStudent. Meet with your advisor. Each school's GPA "competitiveness factor" is going to be different from program to program. At our school, even though the minimum is 2.5, it states in the pre-nursing literature that you should have a 3.5 to be competitive with other applicants.
GPA alone is not the sole factor in deciding acceptance, so make sure all your t's are crossed and your i's dotted Your advisor is your best bet.
Best of luck to you!
