I don't know what else to do I took my nlcex yesterday for the 2nd time and got 265 questions, the first time I got 75. WHAT do I do NOW. Nothing is official but when I did the PVT it went to the credit card screen.

Did you take a prep course?
The first time I did hesi nlcex questions...the second time I did NCSBN not all of it...took notes, studied the notes. I just feel like I failure. I am an lpn and past the PN exam on the first try.
Do you feel that it's a problem with content or testing strategies?
I did the Hurst online review and thought it was very helpful. Mostly helped me look at the questions differently, but it's a good overview of content review as well.
I suggest Kaplan. Their questions are exactly like the nclex questions!

Maybe this is part of your problem? I'm an LVN and I had to really change the way I thought to get questions right.

What made you stop NCSBN?
Did you focus on questions, review rationales, if didn't understand rationales, look at their sources where to find the content?
No matter what the source may be, being familiar with the four aspects of becoming an entry level, competent RN are as follows-the four subjects of the NCLEX-RN:
1. Safe, Effective Care;
2. Health Promotion;
3. Physiological Integrity;
4. Psychosocial Integrity.
Knowing WHAT the question is asking you will guide you to the best answer.
When I took the NCLEX-RN, I had been a LPN as well; but studied the concepts more than content, unless I knew that content was something I knew I would have a challenge answering; but I would study content LAST if The rationale needed needed me to review content for better understanding.
I decided to approach the NCLEX-RN as a whole different test than the NCLEX-PN.
Review what areas that were below and near passing, focus on questions geared towards those subjects (Kaplan Book and Saunders NCLEX Flash cards comes to mind) and go for utilizing the NCSBN for questions ONLY...to me the questions were VERY similar to the NCSBN; I was very comfortable answering the questions because of those three sources-I used more, but when think back on the test format, I think of the NCSBN more.
Best wishes.
