Hi all. I'm looking to relocate to NC from NY once graduating with my ADN. Can anyone tell me salaries in that area? I'm interested in mental health, but any input is appreciated!

Wow. I make that as an LPN now. I hope the COL is super cheaper in Wake Forest lol. Does NC pay for experience?

At my hospital, they pay for clinical ladder status. For example, an experienced nurse would be hired as a clinical nurse II as opposed to a new grad who is a clinical nurse I. COL is less here than it is up north (I am originally from Chicago).

Hi-Are you moving to Wake Forest, NC or do you plan to work at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (actually in Winston-Salem)? The hospitals near Wake Forest, NC are Wake Med and Rex.
Also Duke Raleigh and the 2 Duke hospitals in Durham. Depending on where in WF you live. WFB is much further as PP said

@mmc51264, may I know which hospital you're working at in Raleigh? Recently resigned my job due to unsafe patient ratios and workload, and I want to see the culture at the hospitals in Raleigh before I apply. Thanks!
I'm actually at a big hosp in Durham. THE big one. ?
Oh, the BIG one (I get you ?)! Can we talk more about the culture of the hospital? If you prefer to be private, please text me at (818) 570 8054. Thanks!

Sure, I love it there. I have been there for 7 years and I wouldn't work anywhere else! I have been on the same unit for my entire time. I am certified in my specialty and I am climbing the clinical ladder.
Education is encouraged and supported. They paid 75% of their tuition for me to get my MSN. I am interviewing this week for a promotion.
I love working with the residents, some don't like to be in a teaching hospital, I think it is great. I see things that some nurses never see in a 30 year career. We get the sickest of the sick and I have learned SO much. It is never boring.
We have a "Just Culture" policy regarding mistakes-it is never one person's fault if a mistake is made. It is an extremely diverse place to work. We have nurses, doctors, support staff, from all over the world.
I really cannot say enough good things. If there is something more specific, let me know and I will text you ?

They reached out to me to set up an interview next week; any tips? How much are the differentials? I want to estimate how much will be my monthly income, because I'm thinking of moving to Raleigh. I already post my Pinger number on this thread. Thank you so much!
I have an interview tomorrow for a promotion ?
I think there are a lot of "tell me a time when...." Know the mission/vision statement.
Differentials, off the top of my head, 5ish for nights, 8ish for weekends and 14ish for weekend nights. I think starting is around 23. These are totally ballpark. I am weekend option and a CNIII so I am in a different pay band.
What specialty are you interviewing for?
