Poll: Your Badges

I'm starting this thread because the other ones are so very old and I am too curious to go without asking.

On your badges at work, I've always heard it was your education and then your credential(s). I ask because I was just perusing through an article on the AANA and the author listed his credential and then education. And then I saw the same thing with another article. This led me to wonder if what I had initially heard was false or if it's something that depends on who you ask or if there was a set way of doing things?

Does your badge look like this:

First Last CRNA, MSNA

OR

First Last MSNA, CRNA

OR is it something different (aside from MSNA being DNAP ;))

    Should be degree, then certification.

    However - in everyday use, it's pointless to use anything besides CRNA.

    All of our CRNAs simply have "CRNA" on their badges. I guess maybe specifying badges was the wrong way to go; I probably should've asked a more general question like when you would sign something official or author something -like what I saw in the article this morning, which prompted me to even ask this question Lol!

    If you saw it in an article then that should answer your question. I sign my name on a daily basis and only put CRNA after my name. Badges would probably be based on hospital policy.

    I just have CRNA. It would get slightly lengthy to put MSN, DNAP, and eventually PhD on my badge especially when the CRNA portion is really the only important part for everyday concerns.

    It depends, but in general it is degree then certification. The AANA has their authors put certification and then degree, so you see a lot of CRNAs sign their titles that way.

    APRNs signatures are governed by their states rules. For instance, I must sign traumarus, APN. Doesnt matter whether Im an NP, CRNA, CNS, CNM. (This is IL rules at the moment)

    the CRNA badges at work simply says:

    First Name Last Name, CRNA

    At work, some of the RN and/or APN's who have doctoral degrees do indicate the degree:

    First Name Last Name, NP, PhD

    First Name Last Name, NP, DNP

    First Name Last Name, RN, PhD

    Physicians' badges are either:

    First Name Last Name, MD

    First Name Last Name, MD, PhD

    First Name Last Name, MD, MPH

    The medical center and associated medical and nursing school I work for follows the rule that licensure comes first before education.
