please some advice

im getting ready to start my lpn to rn through excelsior but i am so unsure if i should just go through excelsior or hook up with chancellor's or rue. ive heard negative and some postive things about both. im also nervous about the cpne. ive been a lpn for 7 years working 1 year on med surg, 5 years in a physician's office and now working in corrections. i need some postive feedback on these so called cpne workshops. it would be horrible to go through all of this and fail that. some postive and encouraging words. please.

Chancellor's and Rue are publishing companies, not schools. Excelsior would be the college granting your degree anyway. You do not need to sign up with a publishing company. If you decide you like their materials, you can usually purchase them used on eBay. But by going directly through Excelsior, you'll save yourself thousands of dollars.

Karen,

You'll find a multitude of posts with answers to your questions here in the Distance Learning forum. Feel free to look around, and see if you find what you need. Welcome to Allnurses!

Most of the people here who have done well with Excelsior did NOT use a publishing company. Including me.
