please help

Hi all -

I graduated 8 years ago, did not pass the NCLEX and for varies life reasons have not retaken. Now I am ready but I have NO idea where to begin? Can you please advise? Where do I even begin? I'm ready to put in the hard work but I don't want to waist time rereading text books if there is a more efficient way to prep (4 years later - ugh).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Do you have any books? I would suggest checking out

Before you begin preparing for the NCLEX, please check the BON for your state.  Some may need you to take a refresher class prior to being allowed to take the exam.

I’m happy to hear that after 8 years away from Nursing and the NCLEX, that you’re preparing to begin your journey of studying for the exam. I’m in the same boat as you. I graduated 4 years ago and due to illness and life’s experiences, I haven’t taken the NCLEX exam. I’m currently preparing to take the exam this year. As the other poster suggested, I would first see if your state requires you to take a refresher course.

Hi!
I have just found out that I passed the NCLEX-RN in 75 questions!
I'm a international graduate, so I graduated from my BSN almost 5 years ago and I was scared of not doing well on the NCLEX.

In my case, I bought the Saunders Comprehensive Review book, but didn't really use it. I mostly ended up doing UWorld for the last month and reading all the rationales carefully. If you'd be interested, I still have 1 month left on my UWorld account, so I could sell it to you at a reduced price.

In my opinion, UWorld was a live saver. Really good questions, a lot of SATA, and the rationales are just amazing. They include a lot of pictures and diagrams which is what works best for me.

You'll do great!
Let me know if you need anything else.
