I scored 75% the first time I did all the questions (which was throughout the last semester of the program as a study tool). I got 85% this last week and I did all of them, about 200 questions/day. After I finished the bank I did go over and re-did all the questions I had wrong until I had them right. I feel like doing that many questions a day also helped me be used to it when taking the exam. I finished the exam in about 2.5h, because the questions felt really short and there were no long rationales to read afterwards!

I've passed my ANCC exam today! UWorld was indeed an amazing tool, the only area of improvement I see is adding theory/research questions for the ANCC exam, although the ones I got were very straightforward. Other than that, I also feel like my program prepared us well and could've passed without any review... but doing practice questions always helps!

Enjoy being done!! I got worried before I saw you passed, and readying other people's replies with a bunch of other review courses. The fact that UWorld doesn't have many reviews yet also got me anxious. But thank you! I hope what I've done is enough, and will take your advice! :)

Thank you @Glial!! And CONGRATULATIONS! I saw your comment on another UWorld FNP post and I was worried. I'm taking the ANCC exam this Thursday. I've also done all the Leik questions without reading the book and averaged 71%. I've done all UWorld questions and averaged 75%, I'm now doing a second round of UWorld and getting 85-90%. I haven't done any other reviews and I'm worried this is not gonna be enough. Do you have any recommendations or further feedback about the exam? Any tips would help!

thank you so much!! I've been using UWorld during the last semester of FNP school and found their questions and rationales as amazing as for the NCLEX-RN ones. Nevertheless, I was feeling anxious and thinking if I should purchase extra materials or a review, since there were not many reviews of the World FNP bank available. In addition, my school provided us with ROSH Review questions and I found them harder than UWorld with worse rationales, I did not like it... So your comment made me feel so much better! I'm planning on taking the ANCC FNP exam in the next month and now feel more confident and happy about purchasing UWorld!

Hi! I have just found out that I passed the NCLEX-RN in 75 questions! I'm a international graduate, so I graduated from my BSN almost 5 years ago and I was scared of not doing well on the NCLEX. In my case, I bought the Saunders Comprehensive Review book, but didn't really use it. I mostly ended up doing UWorld for the last month and reading all the rationales carefully. If you'd be interested, I still have 1 month left on my UWorld account, so I could sell it to you at a reduced price. In my opinion, UWorld was a live saver. Really good questions, a lot of SATA, and the rationales are just amazing. They include a lot of pictures and diagrams which is what works best for me. You'll do great! Hi! How did that work for you? I am about to take my NCLEX-RN in the state of Georgia as an international graduate, and I have already started to apply for jobs. I'm not sure if because I'm an international graduate I will be "looked down". I have over 4 years of clinical and research experience, I hold a BSN and a MSN and have been accepted into a NP Program here. I just don't know if that's going to affect me in a negative way when applying for jobs or if they'll consider it a good thing... How is your experience in this regard? Thanks!

Thank you!! I just received my ATT. I really thought I should have my experience shared here in case anyone else needs it in the future. In my case, I was sure I could satisfy the requirements without having to go back to university, as I already had 6 years of undergrad + grad education and 4 years of practice in different settings as well as research in a country with a scope of practice very similar to that of the US. Basically, it was all down to a poor report issued by CGFNS the first time. But, since both CGFNS nor the BON were giving me any real options or advice (sometimes they wouldn't even reply) I ended up hiring a lawyer that specializes in RN licenses. Due to having her contact this institutions, I was instructed to send further documents for CGFNS to assess and they issued a new report (actually this one also had mistakes and it took the 4 reports to get all my information right). Luckily, my lawyer has been very supportive and handled everything in a very professional manner. I do believe that she has also made this process faster. Anyway, in my opinion, this organizations don't really care about us and are very "square headed". They do not accept anything that's not 100% exactly what they look for and accept no mistake, offer no guidance... it has overall been a very stressful experience, but I sincerely hope it was worth it.

I am sorry if I have been way too dramatic or negative, but I just never expected to be in a situation like this... specially not completely by myself since my partner has not been able to get his visa due to the visa ban (and he is the only reason I'm here because it is his company who wants him to work here for a few years...). It is just a completely tough and disheartening process. After studying for 6 years and having worked as a nurse my entire life, being told that I cannot do the only thing I know doing... and during a pandemic! I end up questioning if all of this effort and work has been worth it or if I should just go back to Europe and leave the States altogether. Guess that for now I'll just take your advice and continue to try every path possible... Thanks once again.

The Board doesn't usually accept WES certifications. I forwarded them my information through CGFNS and when I checked my licensure application status it said "accepted". After they got my Background Check and I paid for the NCLEX they emailed me saying that they deem my education incomplete and require me to retake 2 subjects (theory and clinical). They never answered me again. I am currently contacting nurse licensing attorneys. I've read certain laws online from the Board, and just by having worked as a RN (according to their definition of an RN) for a long period of time they should waive my educational requirements. They haven't even offered me any preceptorship or re-entry programs. And while looking up nursing programs to take those 2 subjects they're asking me to take I just get furious. I should not just be qualified but actually over qualified in comparison... specially looking at associate degree programs (which I respect and value, but after a MSN...).

You are right. During my BSN I attended a University in California and I remember that their BON is pretty strict and doesn't usually accept CGFNS records etc. I'm glad they're now being a bit more flexible during the pandemic.

Thanks for your advice. The Board over here is just not replying... nor are most colleges/universities I contacted inquiring about the courses. I just feel helpless. In addition, I have been contacting universities around the area because I want to pursue further education (post masters or DNP) and they accept my transcripts without any issue. I have them certified by WES as equivalent to a BSN and a MSN in the US. I don't know how it's not acceptable for the BON.

As an IEN I am currently having trouble with the GA BON. I'm glad to hear that this is not the same case in California. I'm currently pretty desperate. I have a BSN and a MSN. I have worked for 4 years as a RN... I don't know what else they want from me.

Hi! I am an internationally educated nurse who holds a BSN, a graduate degree and a MSN. I have practiced as a RN for 4 years in different settings: acute care, primary care, research... I have submitted my application to the BON and they apparently want me to retake 2 subjects from my undergraduate degree, one of which I even took at an approved American university since I participated on a exchange for 2 semesters during my BSN. I tried to appeal to the board's decision but they are not answering me (phone, emails... for over a month). No institution around the area seems to accept nursing students for just 2 classes. Anyone has any advice to offer me? Any help would be highly appreciated.
