Hello fellow nurses.....
Does anyone have any suggestions for me. I have taken my board exam 2 times and failed them both. I am taking it for the 3rd time on April 16. Does anyone have any suggestions for me??? I have read the Kaplan NCLEX PN book and know that very well. I've been studying online wth the Lippincott's review. I am not sure what else I can do.... any suggestions??? Thanks

Yes, I would take an NCLEX class. That was the biggest help to me. Also, go over to the NCLEX forum here and read the posts there and read Suzanne's first tip. It's great advice :) Good luck!
Perhaps a moderator will move this over to the NCLEX forum for you.

I remember it being drilled into us to answer as the question as the NURSE, in this case the LPN,,,, not the MD or CNA or RN. Give the BEST answer as the NURSE, even if the true best answer isn't given, you still need to pick the best one out of the four given. I read the question, and paid attention to what they were asking for, then I read the answers and looked for the right one, then I read the question again. Don't hesitate because you know you KNOW this right!!
Keep us posted PLEASE!

My best NCLEX advice is to just try to relax (easier said than done, I know) and accept the fact that you won't know everything. If you get a question you don't know the answer to, just pick an answer and move on. No sense dwelling on it.
As far as studying goes, do as many practice question as you can. I bought a deck of flashcards which was very useful for studying on the go. I kept a stack of them in my purse and pulled them out whenever I had a few minutes to spare (e.g. waiting for an appointment, my breaktime at work, etc.)
Good luck!

I did Saunders for both LPN and RN exams. There are loads of questions with the rationale, as well as a CD..... it's about $50 at Barnes & Noble.
Best of luck to you! You can do this! :)

Practise, Practise and practise questions. Read the rationale even if you got the question right

Before going into questions, please make sure you understand the content. So, when you attempt questions, you at least have an idea of what the stem of the question is...

The only advice I can offer is to continue to do as many questions as possible and study the rationales until your test date. Relax the day before and practice your relaxation techniques for the test. Wishing you good luck.
What materials are you using for your content?
thank you all for your advice. I have bad news, I didn't pass!!! =( This was my 3rd time and I felt really confident after the test. Don't know what to do now!
