Please help my failing memory

The other day I overheard someone talking and she was saying that when she laid down in bed her B/P would go up real high, when she stood or sat it would go down again. It reminded me of a patient I had years ago who had a disease that did that. We had to keep the head of her bed elevated at all times. I had never heard of her diagnosis before and researched it. Now I can't remember what it was and its driving me crazy.

I think you're referring to orthostatic hypotension. Conditions associated with orthostatic hypotension include Addison's disease and other causes of autonomic neuropathy.

POTS disease? I had an aunt that had this and the doctors called it POTS.

that would account for the drop, but not the high while lying down...

@ Munro

you're probably thinking of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, or POTS.
