well that sounds like a barrel of laughs! What population are you dealing with that has pinworms? daycare? pre-k? elementary?

I'd start with a call to your local Department of Health. They will guide you through any protocol you need.
Pinworm is not fun, but not an emergency. I've dealt with a couple of cases at school and some suspected/later confirmed cases with staff (usually those that have kids in diapers at home give the fecal/oral transmission). I cover the area with a non-adherent dressing and recommend they make an appointment with a doctor to confirm diagnosis and begin treatment. It does not warrant a dismissal from school and once treatment starts, they can return to school.
Siblings- Pre-K, 1st and 2nd. 1st grader is on the spectrum, has his hands all over EVERYTHING.
This should be a fun week for you, Jed! Save the BEST parent letters for us, and Good luck!
That will be a challenge! Remind the staff that hand hygiene is king .
oh, i can hear the hysteria rising from here. Yes! Clean hands for all and short nails for the affected family. Perhaps some snazzy belts for the one on the spectrum to deter pants mining.

So, by chance if you come across a live one put it in a zip lock on your bulletin board and see how long it will live "outside" of a host; I mean for scientific research.
Well, since they only come out at night and between the butt cracks at that, I put the odds at slim to none...
