Pilot program for overseas testing of NCLEX

  • Expert

Official word has finally come out that beginning Janaury, 2005, there will be

three pilot test centers opened. London, Hong Kong and Seoul are the three sites picked on a trial basis. No word yet if the fee structure will remain the same for those sites. You will still need to receive an ATT letter to be able to sit for this exam. Licensure requirements will also remain the same, the only thing that these test sites will do is save you money by not having to fly to the US to take the exam beforehand. :)

check out http://www.asiahotels.com. fabulous site and the prices are quite good. not sure what the prices are running in hk right now but i have used this company for hotels all over se asia and they have been about 60% of what the rack rate was for most. hope that this helps.........

***just checked their site, they have rooms listed for about $56 per night us............and that was just a brief look..... :)

where is the exam? on the island or kowloon? there is a hotel behind the peninsula, i think that is owned by them, but the rates were reasonable, though the rooms quite small, like japan. but the location is great.....

while you are there, make sure to check out the dim sum over at stanley street market. a must do.............you want to go to the one where all of the workers east at........wonderful food and very cheap.

when are you taking the exam? please let me know which hotel that you find.

suzanne, thanks for the wonderful infos you shared. will take note the places you've been referring to visit to. i'm kind of excited to visit hk,:p at the same time sooo nervous to sit for the exam.. :chair: anyway, it's going to be on june 8.:uhoh3: wish me all the best.:specs:

thanks again for your time.

*just finished visited the site and able to decide for 2 hotels (but not final yet) shamrock hotel & the other one is panda hotel. both are in kowloon. (are these 2 hotels clean?) my exam's in central hk. but the place there's too costly.

again, all infos/tips for those who took the nclex in hk already kindly share where hotel/apartelle you stayed? will also appreciate if you'll write their website for further reviews.

thanks in a bunch...:)
