PHCC Spring 2014 hopefuls

Hey guys just wondering who is applying for January. Deadlines are in a few weeks and no one had started a thread yet. I am applying for RN and LPN hoping to get in this time around.

Same here, I applied in the fall and didn't get in so I am hoping with retaking the teas might improve my chances.

I also applied for both the LPN and RN. First time applying and I am nervous! Anyone care to share GPA's and TEAS scores? I got an 87% overall on my TEAS but my GPA is only 3.1 so I'm not so sure I will be accepted into the RN program :( But i'm still hopeful about the LPN program.

I hear not as many people apply for January as they do for the fall so let's hope that's true. My gpa is a 3.1 and a 66 teas :/ . I'm going to stay hopeful because 2 people that I know of were not accepted and then they got call backs to join. They had a score of 67, unfortunately I sent in the wrong score so they took my 55. I couldn't believe I did that lol.

I hope that is true! lol When I turned in my application one of the women said that there new campus is also opening up next semester and would have an additional 24 seats for the RN program I believe, so if that is true that will increase our chances as well hopefully. :)

Yes, I was also told that they will offer more seats and there are less applicants in the spring. I refuse to take the Teas again, I studied all summer (I am a teacher so I had time to) and only had a 5.5% gain. I purchased the ATI book and took notes. a billion practice tests and felt good while I was taking it. Very disappointing after spending time and money and get little reward. I am hoping my 79 and 3.8 will get me in...time will tell I suppose. Good luck to you all!

That's okay I kept getting in between 72-75 on the practice tests and then I went to take it the 3rd time and got lower then my second time. Yes good luck to everyone (:

Did anyone apply to the porter and west campus?

I physically applied at west campus. I told them if I'm accepted I'm willing to drive to any of the campuses!

Today is the last day to apply and then the waiting game begins! Usually there are more people on here so they ether haven't joined in yet or it's a good sign of less people. A lot of people in my micro class I have heard aren't applying till march. Fingers crossed guys and good luck everyone !

As you said, hopefully that means there are less applicants. I am anxious to see what ends up happening...good luck!

Hello everyone! I applied to both the PHCC LPN and RN programs for Spring 2014. I am really nervous I applied on September 13th with a 3.6 GPA and a 74 composite Teas score. I am really hoping to get an RN acceptance letter but worried my Teas is too low . I am also a Hernando resident. Hopefully all of you are right and they don't have as many applicants this year. The previous year streams have many comments but not many on allnurses for spring 2014. Does anyone have any idea what the schedules are like? Is it 3 or 4 days? Times? Things like that. I am beyond ready to start this chapter of my life! I wonder when the letters go out. Good luck everyone :smug:

Hi there... I just read your postings. I did apply on the last day @ 3:27pm. Took the TEAS earlier the same day and the testing center was packed with people taking the TEAS. I was told the Committee meets in mid October and notifications go out at the end of October.
