Hello everyone!! I would like to start a thread for the 2011 Fall semester RN & LPN applicants! I applied to both and with the deadline to turn in the application tomorrow, I am already super anxious. I figured this would be a great way to check in with each other and hopefully meet our fellow classmates!!!!!!!!!!

:yeah::redbeathe:smokin::D i got my acceptance letter to the rn program on july 1st!!! i am so totally excited!!! i'm going to be a registered nurse!!!! this is the best thing to happen to me in such a long time, maybe ever ,with exception to my child!!!! congratulations to the others that got in, and good luck to those still waiting!!!:D

JMF-- yay!!! we are gonna be classmates!! I can't wait!!!

Girls, Girls, Girls! Make sure that you have your stock in white underwear. lol I have all of my needed information ready, I ordered my hemostat, scissors and penlight online lastnight. The uniform is what I am dreading more than anything-old school. Heck, if that is the worst of it, we'll have it made. I just hope that I am not the one that comes to school with white pants and neon polka-dot underwear. lol I am so excited and happy for my fellow classmates. We did it!!!

Ok..so I haven't been on in a couple days because I have been fighting this nasty cold and taking care of two sick little ones! But I'm still super excited and anxious to get started!! I know that Aug 3rd (orientation) will be here before we know it! I did my criminal background check and made copies of my CPR card. I need to call tomorrow to make my appt for my physical vaccines/bloodwork and also need to dig up my immunization record! I plan on going to the college tomorrow to drop off my letter of intent and then also pay for my drug test! I haven't bought anything yet as far as hemostats and blood pressure cuff..and stethoscope....does anyone have any suggestions on which ones to get or do you think they will tell us this at orientation? I just don't want to be bombarded with buying a bunch of stuff at one time, but I would really like to get a good stethoscope!!! Not TOO excited about the uniforms, but I figure I will get used to them...I suppose they will help us stand out..lol and YES I definitely need to stock up on white undies as I do not want to be THAT person..lol How is everyone else doing? Is anyone going to be working while going to school? Anyone have kids, etc? Hope everyone is having a great 4th...this time next year we will almost be done with the program!!!!! Also...would anyone be interested if i started up a PHCC LPN Class of 2012 facebook page? I know they have done it in the past and thought it was a good idea!

Drug test, eh? So......that's new....

tinkkey04.......LOVE the facebook idea. Yes, I have children. 4 of them. I do work full-time as well as part-time. I will have to give up the part-time job once I start school but am even worried about maintaining full-time employment with school. Gtg, kids have sparklers and I am sitting on here chatting?!. lol

Tinkkey04: Hey, orientation is August 2nd, not the 3rd!! Just don't want you to miss out!! lol

Now i'm really confused! The two papers I have both say the 3rd at West Campus from 8-12 in conference center bldg R?

What? My letter states that it is the 3rd as well. I guess I will go to the compus and ask some questions?!

Typically, RN orientation is one day and LPN is a different day. Go with your program specific day.

I think the 2nd is Rn program only. I am going to the West Campus today to turn some things in, so I will double check:)
