Members are discussing their experiences with the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) after taking the NCLEX exam. Some users report getting a "bad pop-up" and feeling anxious, while others caution against relying on the PVT for accurate results. Despite receiving the "bad pop-up," some users later find out they passed the exam through official channels, leading to mixed opinions on the accuracy of the PVT.

The only trick that is that accurate is looking up your name on your BON website. PVT is as accurate as flipping a coin (heads-pass/tails-failed). There will be people that get heads and they pass, they'll claim it is 100% accurate because it worked for them.
I have never heard of anyone getting a 'false positive' using the PVT, and believe me I scoured the internet and online forums looking for the same exact information ?. However, I have heard the opposite happening occasionally (getting a 'false negative' aka the bad pop-up, but actually passing).
Just try to relax and take it easy over the next few days. I did the PVT trick and got the good pop-up, but I kept thinking "I could be the first person that gets a false positive". I drove myself crazy ?. It was enough to give me peace of mind so I could adult and clean my house for the day, but I honestly couldn't relax until I got my official results.
I honestly felt like the period after my exam where I was awaiting my results was worse than the actual NCLEX itself! Just try your best to keep busy and keep your mind on other things!?
Keep us posted!
I got mine in less than 24 hours (I wrote at 0800 Feb 5th finishing around 0900, and got my results on Feb 6th at 0830). I live in Canada though (not sure if that actually makes a difference or not). Most of my peers got them in less than 24hrs, but I have a friend who lives in another province and she got her results after three days. She also had technical difficulties at the start of her exam (as in her computer just spontaneously shut off/died on her on her second question). I am not sure if that influenced how long it took her to get her results back or not, but I have heard of similar things effecting wait times. I read once that someone had difficulties scanning their palms at the check-in process, and their results took much longer than their peers. So, I mean sometimes things can happen. In all cases everyone got the good pop-up, and it turned out to be accurate regardless of the delay in their results!
I had to wait 6 weeks for my results back in the day. I don't remember worrying at all, l figured I passed.

Agreed 100%. I was agonizing I'd failed miserably as my exam shut off at 76 questions, did the trick well after 24 hours, so the second round of grading was done, and the trick gave me the failing pop up, yet I got my quick results today, and I'm officially an RN.
I did the PVT trick last month when I took mine, and it was WRONG. I spent 2 days sobbing because I thought I failed. Don't do this for your own mental health!
I had the same pop up and I pass exam
Just wanted to share my story to maybe help calm some nerves… I took my NCLEX RN three days ago… test shut off at 75 questions… only had maybe 15-20 SATA questions… so few that I was convinced I failed miserably…. Much less than my NCLEX LPN had which also shut off after 75 questions. Tried the Pearson Vue trick… get the bad pop up… tried several more times all with the bad pop up… I was convinced I failed… so much so that I paid to renew my LPN license that had expired the day prior (65 dollar late fee on top of the reg fee). Only to find out this am via quick results that I passed and this evening my states website shows a current RN license. Long story short the Pearson Vue trick isn’t always accurate… especially for the bad pop up.
ARCHER VIEW TRICK INACCURATE
Studied with Archer for 3 weeks approx 75 questions/day 5 day/ week. NCLEX exam shut down at 97 questions after a SATA. Was feeling very indifferent but optimistic about my results. I tried the Pearson vue trick (aka good or and pop up) and got the " Bad pop up " multiple times. I spent the next 2 days sobbing & devastated. Untill 48 later I paid for my quick results and to my surprise I PASSED. Do not go by the Pearson vue trick. It added to my anxiety and was not reliable. Good luck ?.
Took my NCLEX-Pn on Thursday 3/16/23 and it stopped at 146 and this is my second attempted and I got the bad popup but IDK if it's cause I have a failed attempt already and it isn't recognizing my new attempt
I agree about the PVT not being completely accurate. I too tried the PVT about 30-60 min after my NCLEX exam and received the "bad pop-up" and was completely devastated thinking I failed but 2 days later I received an email stating I passed and saw my name on the BRN website so please my future nurses, don't put your faith into the PVT!!

Hi everyone, I felt I had to post this!! I took my NCLEX on Tuesday and left feeling super down, I literally felt confident about maybe 20 questions. I cried A LOT and was pretty sure I failed. I did the Pearson Vue trick no less than 1000 times and got the "bad pop up" every time. I read post after post about how the trick is supposedly 99.9% accurate which made me even more depressed. I was already looking into which cities I could travel to to attend an in-person NCLEX review!
Checked my state's BON website this morning and low and behold my name popped up under RN license verification! So the Pearson Vue trick was wrong! I followed all of the specific instructions and never once got the good pop up.
If the trick works for you and you get a good pop up CONGRATS! I don't think I've ever read about anyone getting a false positive so the good pop seems to be pretty accurate. If you get the bad pop up though don't worry, the trick is not guaranteed. Pearson Vue should honestly look into the little trick because it just adds to everyone's anxiety and is really just a weird site error that should not be used to check NCLEX results.
Good luck y'all and feel free to ask me anything!
