For all of those nursing students out there who JUST took the NCLEX, my test shut off at 75 questions and I was mortified. I literally started begging for more questions to pop up. It was one of the hardest exams I have ever taken. Everyone swears by this Pearson Vue Trick, so I decided to try 8 hours after my exam. It was ready to completely let me re-register. I put in the wrong EX date for my credit card and I never got the "good pop up". In fact I continued getting bad pop up over and over and over. I cried all night and was so upset. Then this morning when I checked the BON site it showed an active license, number, and expiration date. Needless to say, dont stress yourself out. Just be patient and wait. And if you got the bad pop up there is still hope. Patience is a virtue.
Hope this helps.

You're suppose to try PVT after waiting 24 hours from taking the exam. In any case, congratulations on passing the NCLEX!

It goes to show that the PVT isn't reliable. Congrats on passing!!

I guess it shows that after a year of the new PVT trick and thousands and thousands of threads, people still do the trick wrong and claim that it doesn't work.
I'm not gonna go there. Lol.
But the only we know for sure that was wrong was OP didn't wait 24 hours. I will give you that much.

My daughter just took the NCLEX in Baton Rouge this morning 11/14/2023 and it stopped her after 86 questions. She did the Pearson Vue and she got a bad pop up and now she's crying and all depressed. Hopefully it's wrong, bc I just can't imagine her missing the first 71 questions.

Did she graduate from a school with a high NCLEX pass rate? Did she get high grades in nursing school?
The first 85 questions are a combination of 15 unscored (beta questions) and 70 scored questions. The computer will continue to give the applicant questions until it determines that the applicant has the minimal knowledge to be a competent nurse. The computer stopping at 86 questions means one of only two things: she did very well and stopped at the minimum number of questions or she did so poorly that it determined that continuing to give her questions would not result in her passing.
If she attended a nursing school with a high NCLEX pass rate and she got high grades in nursing classes, it is extremely unlikely that she failed.

You need to wait at least 24 hrs to do Pearson Vue trick, and there's plenty of accounts of it being wrong in both directions (false pass/false fail) tell your daughter to be patient, she probably did fine
