I am no longer--pre-nursing!! yay! I got my acceptance yesterday. I haven't thought too much past this point though. I have to pay out of pocket for my nursing school.
Does anyone have any avenues that they have taken to pay for school? I can't even get grants. Just scholarships or personal loans. eekk

I work at a hospital that reimburses tuition after the semester is over. There's also retirement that I am able to dip into for hardships (am in this situation now) since I have to pay out of pocket.

Contact your school's financial aid office for advice that will be specific to your situation. They can help guide you through these complex processes.
Congratulations on being accepted.

My school has one scholarship app that you fill out, write essay for, etc. and then they submit it to many different scholarships for you, and many of them are specific to nursing. I received over $8000 in scholarship money over the 2-year program. Combined with my state's tuition waiver, all aspects of my schooling was paid for.

I'm paying out of pocket for school. I'm at a community college that allows me to make payments. Its hard but will be worth it at the end. I plan on applying for scholarships for next year. I was lazy this year and didn't.
